DAMACIO PAGE ADDED TO WEDNESDAY'S WEC
World Extreme Cagefighting on Monday announced that Damacio Page will step in to take the place of an injured Jesse Moreng at Wednesday’s event in Albuquerque, N.M. Page will now face Steve Jorgensen in a bantamweight (135-pound) contest.
Although he’s taking the fight on just two days of notice, Page told MMAWeekly that he’s ready to go, as he was already preparing for another bantamweight bout scheduled for Feb. 28 in Canada.
Takaya, Maeda Venture West to WEC

Jesse Moreng off WEC card due to injury
Jesse Moreng has had to withdraw from his Feb. 13 World Extreme Cagefighting bout with Scott Jorgensen. MMAWeekly.com sources on Thursday night confirmed that Moreng fractured his foot this week and can barely walk on it.
Filho-Sonnen Rematch in March, Last MW Fight?
According to the Brazillian TATAME website, WEC Middleweight Champion and World #2 Middleweight Paulo Filho has accepted a rematch with Chael Sonnen, who Filho beat in December in a controversial fight. There are also rumors Filho will move up to Light Heavyweight (205) after this fight.
Paulão gives revenge to Sonnen at WEC, in March
WEC Champion at 84kg category, Paulão Filho gave Chael Sonnen a revenge, whom defeated at WEC 31, at 2007 December, with an arm-lock. According to Paulão Filho’s boxing coach, Josuel Distak, Sonnen asked for a revenge after the fight. “Last fight I had a lot of weight problems with Paulão, that’s why he wasn’t well. Sonnen asked for a revenge and we accepted. Thanks God this will be Paulão’s last fight at 84 category. After this fight he’ll go up to 93kg category”, said Distak.

The already announced main event features welterweight champion Carlos Condit defending his belt against WEC newcomer Carlo Prater.

WEC Headed to Albuquerque for Feb. 13 Show
World Extreme Cagefighting, the Zuffa LLC-owned fight promotion that’s now the sister organization to the UFC, today announced that it’ll leave Las Vegas for the first time since its ownership change, and the Feb. 13 fight card will feature a total of three title fights.
WEC 31 FIGHTER SALARIES BREAKDOWN
MMAWeekly has obtained the fighter salary information for World Extreme Cagefighting 31, which took place on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The event was the WEC's seventh since being purchased by Ultimate Fighting Championship parent company Zuffa, LLC and it was also the its fourth live event on cable television channel Versus.
The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that Zuffa and the WEC are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners' bonuses.
