Rogerio Nogueira could make March return
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira recently had to pull out of a scheduled fight against Brandon Vera at UFC 109. Though his ankle injury was severe enough to keep him off the Feb. 6 fight card, don’t be surprised if Nogueira surfaces again sometime in March or April. Nogueira’s ankle had been giving him some trouble prior to his Nov. 21 fight with Luiz Cane. You’d have never had known it judging by his performance. He took out Cane by TKO inside the first two minutes of the opening round. The victory was Nogueira’s Octagon debut.

Quote of the Day: Corey Hill - "I’m Able to Do What I Love to Do Again"
"If you want to know the truth, I was an ass," he said. "I was like a little baby. I whined. I yelled. My wife iterally had four kids to take care of: The three we have, plus myself. I was a baby. I couldn’t get to the bathroom. I had to stay in bed and pee in a freaking bucket for almost four months". "This sounds gross, but there were times when I urinated on myself because my bucket was too far and I couldn’t get to it. She came home to some bad scenarios and it never fazed her." ... Corey Hill already knows one conversation he wants to have when the fight is over and, win or lose, he walks out of the cage under his own power. "I want to talk to my wife and tell her, ‘We did it,’ " Hill said, bubbling with enthusiasm. "And I meant that very much when I said we.

UFC Quick Quote: Cole Miller would rather have fun than get knocked out
I hope this fight is as fun as it has the potential to be. (Lauzon) is a very aggressive fighter and I'm an aggressive fighter too I like to preach attack, attack, attack and he's the same way. I'm always seeing him on the offense. I have the experience but he's been the more active fighter. He's coming off eight wins in a row and I think it should be a great fight. Hopefully I don't get knocked out in the first three minutes." UFC lightweight Cole Miller talks to Sherdog.com about his upcoming scrap against Dan Lauzon at UFC Fight Night 20 scheduled for Jan. 11 in Fairfax.

Fight Path: Self-professed "nerd" Phil Davis seeks structure in UFC debut
Phil Davis' elementary school contemporaries in Harrisburg, Pa., were surely looking forward to their share of cartoons on Saturday mornings. "Instead of doing that, we were at the museum," Davis told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) in recalling his education-oriented childhood. "It was so crazy because it was always the same museum, and we would just learn about the same stuff." With a mother who was a college professor and a father who received a Master's degree and was educated, Davis jokes now, on "exactly how to be a nerd," Davis and his two older brothers took the regular visits with the expected amount of enthusiasm.

Frank Mir: Brock Lesnar may need to be stripped of the UFC heavyweight title
"If (Brock Lesnar) is going to be out for that long, should he even hold on to the belt at all? The interim title works if a champion is not able to defend his belt within a year-long period, you know he's going to be out eight, nine months, you make the interim belt than he comes back after a year but as of now his last fight was in July. If he's out a year from today's date that's a year and a half and at that point, I don't think you can hold the belt ransom. They gave me about a year when I had my injury so I've been on that side of the coin and I was more than happy to relinquish the belt because I felt kind of selfish that I really couldn't do anything with it. I don't how successful he's going to be coming back. That's going to be a question over his head for a while. It wasn't like he was a slick, technical fighter to begin with. A lot of his style went upon his brute power and strength. If Brock Lesnar is unable to put on the same kind of size as he had before ... I don't think he's going to be very successful as a fighter at 245."

What does Evans Vs Silva mean for the lhw division
When Rashad Evans meets Thiago Silva next week in the UFC 108 headliner, he knows both contenders are fighting for the same thing. They both a want a shot to avenge an earlier loss while striking gold in the light-heavyweight division, which is currently ruled by champion Lyoto Machida. "It's like a race for who gets back to Machida," Evans said. Machida knocked out Silva in January and then stopped then-champ Evans in his next bout to claim the 205-pound title. Since then, the undefeated Brazilian has defended his belt against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and now ranks among the world's top pound-for-pound best. So what can we expect from Evans vs. Silva?

Baroni plans time off, return unknown
33-year-old welterweight Phil Baroni is in Hawaii and planning to take time off from competition to rest and evaluate a new approach to MMA. Despite several reports, Baroni said he has not agreed to fight Marcus Davis at UFC 111 on March 27 in Newark, N.J. The Long Island, N.Y. native said he wanted to move from his adopted home of Las Vegas to experience different training camps, most notably, a possible permanent move to San Jose, Calif. for a permanent residence with American Kickboxing Academy. In the past, Baroni has trained often with the camp for hard sparring.

According to MMA Mania, Phil Baroni and Marcus Davis have verbally agreed to whip the New Jersey crowd into a frenzy at UFC 111 (March 27th, Newark), supporting a card that will feature Georges St. Pierre vs. Dan Hardy and (hopefully) Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin.

Former Champion Evans Starts Comebck Trail Against Silva
Like training partner Georges St-Pierre before him, Rashad Evans has learned firsthand the difference between winning a title and keeping it. It's a painful lesson. But one that St-Pierre has used to make himself a better mixed martial arts fighter. Some seven months after losing the UFC light-heavyweight championship to Lyoto Machida in his first title defence at UFC 98, Evans returns to the cage at UFC 108 looking to prove that, having picked himself off the floor, he is a better man for it.
