UFC Quick Quote: Efrain Escudero just needs to keep winning
Evan and I haven't been hyping the fight like that -- we're not saying anything bad about each other. We don't even know each other but we're just looking forward to competing. In the Ultimate Fighter house I hated two guys when I fought them. I hated Junie Browning and I hated Shane Nelson when I fought them. Cole Miller is a very respectful guy, we talked before and after, and I think Evan Dunham is a very respectful guy too.
Hermes Franca Retires

Nick Catone and The Real Jersey Shore
Despite what you may see on MTV, there is no Snooki, ‘The Situation’, or ‘J-Woww’ on Nick Catone’s Jersey Shore. Yet like most of us who let curiosity get the best of us, the longtime native of Brick Township has tuned in to the cable station’s latest hit reality series, and his reaction is typical of those who actually live at the shore.
“Yeah, I’ve seen it – it’s kinda stupid to me,” he laughs. “But at least people know that they’re coming down from New York and it’s not us from around here making a laugh about the Jersey Shore. But they’re giving a bad impression about it, that’s for sure.”

Gray Maynard isn't the only one with a bout hanging over his shoulder.
Nate Diaz, who meets Maynard on Monday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 20 in Fairfax, Va., is already fired up for another fight when he gets done with Maynard.
And while much of the buzz surrounding their fight has focused on a possible title opportunity for "The Bully," Diaz has his own hit list.
"I would like to fight [Tyson Griffin] no matter what," said Diaz on a conference call promoting the Jan. 11 event. "He's a b*tch. I don't even like that guy. [Expletive] Tyson."
UFC Quick Quote: Gray Maynard keeping it real against Nate Diaz at Fight Night 20
"You'll never hear me talking trash or saying, 'God, this guys sucks.' I'm the type of guy that's always putting the guy I'm fighting up real high, saying, 'Oh, I don't know man, he's pretty good. I better be prepared.' That's how I keep it realistic."
Undefeated UFC lightweight contender Gray Maynard talks to the Las Vegas Sun about his pending rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night 20 this Monday (Jan. 11) from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Dos Anjos Aiming for a Big Finish against Bradley
Christmas and New Year's Eve, two end-of-the-year holidays that people are always anxious for. The celebration and all the delicious food we have at the parties held during this period are fantastic - but how can a professional fighter enjoy this if he needs to be on a diet and go through a tough training camp for a match early the following year?
To tell you the truth, I think he starves and suffers a lot, but it is better to ask a competitor in this situation. So, 'the target' is Rafael dos Anjos, the Rio de Janeiro native who returns to the Octagon on Monday at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, only 11 days into the New Year. However, he sees the positive side. Yes, it exists.
The Serious Side of Tom Lawlor – Well, Not Really
Tom Lawlor is one of the most serious athletes competing in the UFC today. Of course, that’s if you consider the care he takes when it comes to memorable weigh-in appearances, off the wall Octagon entrances, and deadpan one-liners.
Yet something funny (pun intended) happened to Lawlor in the midst of all the antics that have made him an internet message board favorite – he turned into a serious middleweight prospect who may be a couple wins away from graduating to contender. So now, with two UFC wins in his pocket (including a 55 second submission of CB Dollaway at UFC 100 last July), and a big fight this Monday in Virginia against fellow up and comer Aaron Simpson, Lawlor isn’t seen as just a funny man anymore.

"The Iceman" currently holds a 2-0 advantage over "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy," winning by way of KO at UFC 47 in April 2004 and then by TKO at UFC 66 in Dec. 2006.
Liddell (21-7) hasn't competed since a technical knockout loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97: "Redemption" from the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, back in April 2009. In fact, since his last stoppage over Ortiz, he's only had one victory in five attempts, a gritty unanimous decision win over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 79 in Dec. 2007.
Aaron Simpson on UFC Fight Night 20 foe: "I don't plan on being friends with him"
UFC middleweight contender Aaron Simpson (6-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) gets it.
Success in the UFC means not only winning, but also participating in memorable fights.
But as Simpson prepares to face the enigmatic Tom Lawlor (6-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at Monday's UFC Fight Night 20, "A-Train" told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) he'll leave the wild antics to his opponent. Simpson wants to prove memorable during his time in the cage.
