UFC officials will use proven U.S. blueprint to build fan base in Mexico
(mmajunkie.com)
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has a plan to build up its organization in Mexico. It's the same one company officials used to build a fan base in the U.S. UFC president Dana White recently said the keys to Mexico, a southern neighbor that began broadcasting UFC events on network television for this past weekend's UFC 100 event, are exposure, education and one-on-one meetings with MMA's opposition.

(demandmma.com)
Kimbo Slice, no stranger to controversy, does not seem like the kind of guy you want to pull a prank on in the Ultimate Fighter house, that's for sure.

Royce Gracie Not Fighting...For Now
(mmaweekly.com)
Even when you're away from fighting, you're never really away. Such seems to be the recent case with Royce Gracie: He doesn't need any of the typical motivators for fighting, he seems comfortable being out of the MMA spotlight, but he doesn't seem to have the urge to fight. But if UFC 100 and the Fan Expo was any indication, fans still want to see the original UFC legend back in action at 42. Not now, he says, but of course never say never.

Winner of Kampmann-Swick to face St. Pierre
(mmaweekly.com)
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 - by Ken Pishna - MMAWeekly.com It has been widely rumored and Joe Rogan mentioned it during the UFC 100 broadcast, but the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Wednesday made it official, the fight between Mike Swick and Martin Kampmann will determine the next challenger to UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre. "Wherever we go, fans know UFC delivers great fights,” UFC president Dana White said. "Mike Swick vs. Martin Kampmann could be fight of the night at UFC 103 because the winner takes on Georges St. Pierre for the welterweight title.” After suffering an injury to his groin at UFC 100, St. Pierre will be taking some time off to heal up, but has at least narrowed his next opponent down to the winner of the bout on Sept. 19 in Dallas. "I want to face the best guy," the champ commented after his victory over Thiago Alves. "Right now, I'm in really bad pain. I'm going to take a step back and take a look at it and we'll talk about it, and in a couple of weeks we'll see." He should have plenty of time to rehab his injury and get prepared for his next challenge. Swick vs. Kampmann is still two months away and no date has been revealed for St. Pierre's return bout against the winner.

Dana White says "The Ultimate Fighter 10" heavy on storylines, online bonus episodes possible
(mmajunkie.com)
The upcoming 10th season of "The Ultimate Fighter 10" is so packed with storylines that the show's producers aren't sure how to cram all the content into the 12 scheduled 42-minute episodes. That's according to Dana White, who discussed the heavyweights-only season in media sessions before and after UFC 100.

BONES JONES NOT HAPPY ABOUT UFC 100 STAND-UP
(mmaweekly.com)
Jon “Bones” Jones certainly looked relaxed in the Octagon as he faced “Irish” Jake O’Brien at UFC 100, shuffling around the action like hero Muhammed Ali. He stayed true to his unpredictable style, too, catching wrestler/boxer O’Brien off guard with a fake takedown attempt that turned into a spinning elbow, setting the fight’s end in motion.

Cro Cop vs Dos Santos UFC 103, winner faces....
(tportal.hr)
It says "On Cro Cop's way to the top stand Dos Santos and Minotauro". It says Mirko will get a shot at the winner of Couture vs Nogueira, if he beats Dos Santos. The winner of that fight will fight with Brock Lesnar, for the title (in case Brock still holds the title since Dana announced that theres a possibility Fedor will join the UFC). Also its not impossible that Mirko and Fedor touch gloves once again. Thats the translation.

Kimbo Slice: ‘I don’t mind being a gatekeeper’ for UFC heavyweight division
(mmamania.com)
“I guess it’s safe to say I don’t mind being a gatekeeper. Eventually, you got something you want to get. A drive for something, you know what I’m saying? And I guess I’m still searching for that inner me, I’m still searching for something. Until I find it, and until my fire is done, I’m a fighter…. Eventually, you want that title around your waist, that’s eventually the goal. But it don’t happen, just line them up.” Less than confident words from the preseason star of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10, Kimbo Slice. UFC President Dana White shocked the mixed martial arts community not too long ago, announcing that the former bareknuckle Miami street brawler had taken him up on his offer to compete on the tournament-style Spike TV-produced program. His timing may not be the best — TUF 10 features former IFL champion, Roy Nelson, UFC veteran Wes Sims and several former NFL players, among others. So will Slice prove White (who predicted he would never win a TUF show back in Oct. 2008 when he first made the bold offer) and all the other doubters wrong or can he hang with the big boys? Find out on Sept. 16, 2009, at 10 p.m. ET on Spike TV. For now, have at it in the comments section below.
