Joe Lauzon: Injuries Suck
I have been training for close to 15 years… and I have dealt with a LOT of injuries. I think as your knowledge of the sport grows as a coach and competitor, so does your knowledge grow of dealing with and training around injuries. At this point in my life, its not IS something going to hurt today but WHAT is going to hurt the most and how am I going to train around it.
T.J. Dillashaw: It's Jose Aldo's performances, not interviews, that don't sell
UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw doesn’t necessarily disagree with teammate Chad Mendes’ claim that Jose Aldo doesn’t do enough to sell his own fights, but he’s also not convinced that it’s solely a matter of what the featherweight champ does or doesn’t say in the weeks leading up to the event.
I find this hilarious, TJ had 1 title defense against a top 50 BW, Aldo is going into his 9th defense, I believe. I'm pretty sure TJ will fight with the same approach when he defends the belt against Cruz. Cruz did it for a long time when he had the belt....the point is to win, they obviously want to put on exciting fights as well but the main objective in a title fight is to win it, and that's what Aldo does every time.
Urijah Faber: I’m the moat around the castle for King T.J. Dillashaw; I’m OK with that
UFC bantamweight competitor Urijah Faber discusses his team’s expectations this weekend in Brazil, including Chad Mendes’ title fight rematch against Jose Aldo.
Is it just me or is Faber constantly trying to put his name in his stable mates successes. Yes, Faber, we know you started Team Alpha Male but the difference is that in the year or less that Bang was the head coach, the fighters improved ten fold. You have to give Ludwig the credit there, they were all obviously good wrestlers but Duane gave them striking.
