Jon Jones says he hasn't been intimidated by opponent since 'Rampage' Jackson
Jon Jones is as confident in his skillset as anyone. For good reason. He's the best pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world and arguably the best of all time.
That doesn't mean, though, that he hasn't been worried going into a fight. Lately, he has been free of those fears. But Jones said at a recent media lunch that the last time an opponent truly concerned him was Quinton Jackson.
Miesha Tate says 'mentality' is a 'big weakness' for Amanda Nunes
Miesha Tate's biggest asset might be her iron will. She's the kind of fighter who lets her arm nearly snap before tapping. The kind of warrior who comes back in a title fight despite being down on the cards and finishes in the final round.
The UFC women's bantamweight champion does not see the same grit and determination in Amanda Nunes, her UFC 200 opponent.

Daniel Omielanczuk, a heavyweight competitor, tested positive for the prohibited substance in a recent out-of-competition test and has been notified of a potential anti-doping policy violation by USADA, the UFC announced Friday.
Omielanczuk, though, will not be provisionally suspended due to continual questions about the drug. The Polish fighter will still face Alexey Oleinik at UFC Fight Night: Lineker vs. McDonald on July 13 in Sioux Falls.
USADA lifts Islam Makhachev's provisional suspension, still investigating drug-test failure
Islam Makhachev can return to UFC action, MMA Fighting has learned.
USADA has lifted Makhachev's provisional suspension, but the UFC's anti-doping partner will continue to investigate his failed drug test, according to Makhachev's manager Ali Abdel-Aziz. That means Makhachev is free to compete in the Octagon while the rest of the adjudication process is going on.
FOX Sports was the first to report the news. MMA Fighting confirmed the information with USADA.
C.B. Dollaway headed to light heavyweight, booked for UFC 203
C.B. Dolloway will fight at 205 when he meets Francimar Barroso at UFC 203, in Cleveland, on September 10.
In desperate search for a win, C.B. Dollaway will look for a new result in the light heavyweight division, when he meets Francimar Barroso at UFC 203, as Combate reported.
Currently on a three-fight skid, losing to the likes of Nate Marquardt, Michael Bisping and Lyoto Machida, Dollaway (15-8) hasn't had his hand raised since an unanimous decision win over Francis Carmont in May 2014. The change marks the first time he will try his luck at 205.
Barroso (18-5) is coming off a submission loss to Nikita Krylov that snapped a two-fight winning streak over Elvis Mutapcic and Ryan Jimmo. The Brazilian could also be fighting for his job, as the UFC is not known for keeping grinders like himself around for too long after they start losing matches.
Artem Lobov vs. Chris Avila targeted for UFC 202
At UFC 202, the Diaz vs. McGregor rivalry will extend beyond the main event.
The UFC is working towards adding a featherweight fight between Artem Lobov and Chris Avila to the Aug. 20 card, MMA Fighting has learned.
The booking is an interesting one because Lobov is a good friend and training partner of McGregor, while Avila is a protégé of the Diaz brothers. Of course, McGregor vs. Nate Diaz is the main event of UFC 202.
‘Jacare’ Souza calls George St. Pierre a ‘chicken’, vows to break his neck if he moves up to middleweight
It’s still unclear who will get the first crack at UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, and Ronaldo Souza is pissed off with the possibility of being left aside one more time. "Jacare" underwent knee surgery after beating Vitor Belfort on May 14, and told MMA Fighting on Wednesday that he’s good to go whenever the UFC calls.
"I can guarantee you that I’m physically better than anyone in the middleweight division today," Souza said. "I’m training, running, jumping. I’m healthier and physically better than anyone in this division.

According to a report from The Albuquerque Journal, Means will face Sean Strickland in a welterweight tilt at the event. UFC officials have confirmed the fight.
Means most recently fought in December of 2015 at UFC Fight Night 80, where he knocked out John Howard. Means was then scheduled to face Donald Cerrone Feb. 21 in the main event of Pittsburgh's UFC Fight Night 83 but was removed from the event after being flagged for a potential USADA violation.
Following a settlement, Means' suspension was reduced to six months, clearing him to fight in August.
Two suspects arrested, charged in connection to hit-and-run death of Ryan Jimmo
Two suspects have been apprehended and charged for the alleged hit-and-run incident that killed UFC veteran Ryan Jimmo, the Edmonton Police Service confirmed with MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
Both suspects are currently being held in custody, according to an EPS spokesperson. Anthony Getschel, 23, has been charged with "second degree murder, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and fail to stop at scene of accident involving death," while Jordan Wagner, 21, has been charged with "accessory after the fact to murder."
Jimmo died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot outside of an Edmonton sports bar. An autopsy determined that Jimmo passed away as a result of blunt force trauma.
The ex-UFC fighter is believed to have been struck from behind by a vehicle while walking back to his own car following a verbal dispute with the two suspects, both of which fled the scene. Jimmo was subsequently pronounced dead at a local hospital at the age of 34.

The bout joins a card headlined by a UFC Heavyweight Championship match between Northeast Ohio native Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem. CM Punk will also make his MMA debut at the event against upstart Mickey Gall.
Reebok signs Sage Northcutt to individual sponsorship deal
Let the hate commence.
Sage Northcutt, the UFC's much-maligned young prospect, has signed an individual sponsorship deal with UFC apparel partner Reebok, he announced Wednesday on Twitter. Northcutt joins a roster that includes fighters like Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Paige VanZant, Chris Weidman, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Anthony Pettis, Johny Hendricks and Rory MacDonald.
Reebok is the UFC's official apparel sponsors, so every fight wears the brand and gets paid for it. Northcutt and the others have a side deal that apparently pays them more money.
Brazil's Alberto Uda meets Italian newcomer Marvin Vettori in welterweight bout at UFC 202
Another booking has been made for the UFC’s August pay-per-view in Las Vegas, and guess what? It’s a welterweight bout, natch.
Alberto Uda (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is set to take on promotional newcomer Marvin Vettori (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in a 170-pound bout at UFC 202, promotion officials recently announced. Of the six fights booked for the card so far, five are in the welterweight division – including a headlining rematch between Nate Diaz and featherweight champion Conor McGregor at welterweight.
UFC 202 takes place Aug. 20 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card will air on pay-per-view following prelims expected for FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Uda made his promotional debut in May at UFC Fight Night 88 against Jake Collier, but he was knocked out by a knee and body kick in the second round. The setback was the Brazilian’s first loss as a pro after a perfect 9-0 start to his career. The fight also was his first outside of Brazil. Before that, eight of his first nine wins were by stoppage with an even mix of knockouts and submissions.

The undefeated Chookagian (7-0) is a member of the Renzo Gracie Academy, and a native of New Jersey. She comes over as the reigning Cage Fury Fighting Championships champion, last appearing on May 19 against Stephanie Bragayrac at CFFC 57, scoring a first round knockout in her first title defense.
Chookagian, 27, has three finishes in her seven professional fights.
Edmonton Police Locate Vehicle Suspected in Hit-and-Run Death of Ryan Jimmo

Jimmo was reportedly walking away from an altercation with two men in the parking lot of the H2O Lounge in Edmonton on Sunday, when the men accelerated their vehicle and hit the UFC veteran before fleeing the scene.
Neil Magny vs. Dong Hyun Kim targeted for UFC 202
A new welterweight matchup is apparently on tap for UFC 202. Combate reports that Neil Magny will fight Dong Hyun Kim on the August 20th pay-per-view at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC officials have now announced the booking themselves.
Magny (18-4) has won 10 of his last 11, with only Demian Maia able to defeat him over the past 3 years. The TUF 16 semifinalist rallied from two knockdowns against Hector Lombard to stop the Cuban in round 3 -- and really should've been stopped by the ref in round 2 -- of their UFC Brisbane encounter in March. Magny also holds a short-notice split decision over Kelvin Gastelum, and is currently #7 in the UFC's welterweight rankings.
