Joe Riggs at Strikeforce in Tacoma Wa this Weekend
Joe Riggs is the newest and I would say one of the the most valid fighters on the card. Link for all fights this weekend http://www.strikeforceusa.net/matchups.asp
tickets $35, 75, 150, 300. I am thinking $35 and make my way down out of the nosebleeds, Tacoma Dome seems like a crappy venue for MMA, I like the smaller, steeper arenas like Seattle Key Arena or Everett Event center

Jake Shields vs. Frank Shamrock? It could happen.
By John Morgan/TAGG Radio Network
As up-and-coming welterweight Jake Shields (20-4-1) prepares for his March 29 Strikeforce/EliteXC fight with UFC veteran Drew Fickett (31-5), he’s already got his eyes set on a more well-known UFC veteran: Frank Shamrock (23-8-1).
Masvidal likely to fight Melendez
ProElite.com (SamCaplan.ProElite.com) has confirmed through Strikeforce Vice President Mike Afromowitz that BodogFIGHT lightweight competitor Jorge Masvidal is under consideration to receive a shot at the promotion’s lightweight title currently held by Gilbert Melendez on March 29 in San Jose at the HP Pavilion.
I have been hearing rumors that this fight is taking place on the March 29th card for the last few days, and now that this is announced I am fairly certain it will.
Gary Shaw: UFC Title-Holders Are “Club Champs”
During Wednesday’s media conference call, EliteXC Live Events President Gary Shaw fielded a number of questions about the organization’s Feb. 16 main event between Kimbo Slice and David “Tank” Abbott. However, he discussed a number of other issues, including his recent media feud with UFC President Dana White.
Puder Returns To Strikeforce
Although he's gone back to wrestling for now, Daniel Puder's MMA exodus apparently will be brief. He's been added to the 3/29 Strikeforce event headlined by Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le.

Nam Phan Interview...Strikeforce plans, turning down the UFC, etc.
Just did a story and interview with Nam. He talks about his upcoming bouts with Strikeforce and Gladiator Challenge...why he turned down the UFC and what he thinks of Roger Huerta, his professional boxing career. Feel free to check it out and leave any comments. We're lagging on redesigning the site so bare with the simplicity for now. Thanks
Jeff Joslin, Wander Braga and Luke Stewart Interviews...
I posted interviews with all fighters here
Did this interview with Joslin a couple weeks ago. Very underrated fighter and it's great he's getting another chance. Anyone who hasn't seen his fight with Jon Fitch needs to check out what he was able to do to Fitch in controversial loss. Thought he more than held his own against Koscheck as well.
Wander Braga was supposed to be in the UFC a few times against Pellegrino. He's got some legal issues preventing him from fighting at the moment but could be in this year. 16-0 but he hasn't fought in 3 years.
Not sure how many people here know who Luke Stewart is but he is somebody to watch at 170. He is fighting for Strikeforce and has finished every single opponent. Biggest name opponent is Von Flue, but he should get bigger fights soon and is on the undercard for the March 29 event. Sick Jiu-Jitsu, black belt under Ralph Gracie.
Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le Set for March 29
Strikeforce and Elite XC will present their second joint show, headlined by Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le in a five-round fight for the Strikeforce middleweight title, on March 29 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
A news conference involving both promotions to officially announce the fight is expected to take place some time next week. The event will air live on Showtime and include two matches from Strikeforce, two from Elite XC, and one match pitting a Strikeforce fighter against an Elite XC fighter.
No other matches are finalized for the show, but it is expected Gilbert Melendez will defend the Strikeforce lightweight title and that Jake Shields will also be fighting on the show.
Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le
Frank Shamrock will defend his Strikeforce middleweight title against Cung Le on the second Strikeforce and EliteXC joint show scheduled for March 29 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. according to Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports.
