Jon Fitch's WSOF contract allows for fights in outside organizations
While Jon Fitch (24-5-1) said he's thoroughly committed to the World Series of Fighting, he has options if the promotion doesn't keep him busy.
The veteran welterweight, who's scheduled to rematch Josh Burkman (25-9) June 14 at WSOF 3, expects to fulfill a four-fight contract with the promotion within a year. But if there are delays, he could fight for another promoter, perhaps in Asia.

World Series of Fighting Unveils Championship Belt, Plans First Title Fight for Early 2014
The World Series of Fighting has taken another step toward crowning its first world champion.
A source close to the WSOF forwarded images of the promotion’s new championship belt to Sherdog.com on Tuesday, stating that the WSOF plans to hold its first title fight in early 2014. While the weight at which the fight will be contested is not yet determined, Sherdog’s source said that middleweight and light heavyweight are the most likely options.
WSOF 3 adds Gruetzemacher-Sanders, Beebe-Murphy to prelims
World Series of Fighting continues to fill out the card for its next show, WSOF 3 next month in Las Vegas.
Chris Gruetzemacher (11-1) will meet Jerrod Sanders (11-1) in a featherweight bout, while Carson Beebe (13-2) takes on Joe Murphy (6-0) at bantamweight. WSOF officials on Wednesday announced the new fight pairings. All four fighters will be making their WSOF debuts.
WSOF 3 takes place June 14 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The main card airs on NBC Sports Network. The main event is a welterweight bout between former UFC title challenger Jon Fitch and fellow UFC vet Josh Burkman.
Jessamyn Duke successfully appeals KO loss to Miriam Nakamoto at Invicta FC 5
The Missouri Office of Athletics today overturned Jessamyn Duke's loss at Invicta FC 5, changing the result of her bout against Miriam Nakamoto to a no contest.
Nakamoto originally was ruled the winner by way of knockout, but after an investigation, the commission ruled an illegal knee warranted the overturning of the official result, according to a copy of the decision obtained today by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
The fight took place April 5 at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., and streamed live via online pay-per-view.
