Kobold Out, Sarah D’Alelio Faces Tonya Evinger At Invicta FC 7

An injury has forced bantamweight veteran Kelly “Blood Red” Kobold out of her planned fight at Invicta Fighting Championships 7 on December 7th in Kansas City, Missouri. In Kobold’s place, Sarah “The Monster” D’Alelio has stepped in to face off against Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger on the card. The change was first announced on Inside MMA tonight. D’Alelio is coming off of a close loss to Lauren Murphy at Invicta FC 6 in July. She had won three of her past four fights prior to the setback. Evinger recently competed on TUF 18 and brings a three-fight winning streak into her Invicta FC debut.

Lance Palmer meets Georgi Karakhanyan for inaugural WSOF featherweight title in December

An undefeated Team Alpha Male prospect will fight for the inaugural World Series of Fighting featherweight title next month. Lance Palmer (7-0) has replaced the injured Rick Glenn against Georgi Karakhanyan (22-3-1) at WSOF 7 on Dec. 7 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, according to WSOF president Ray Sefo and executive vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz. The five-round title fight will serve as the co-main event of a card headlined by Anthony Johnson vs. Mike Kyle.

Rick Glenn has withdrawn from his World Series of Fighting featherweight title bout against Georgi Karakhanyan on Dec. 7. WSOF officials recently informed Sherdog.com of the news, although reasons for Glenn’s withdrawal were undisclosed. Promotion officials hope to find a new opponent for Karkhanyan in the coming weeks.
