“I was supposed to fight Ian Stephens and from what I heard, he supposedly told the XFC that he signed a UFC contract and wouldn’t be fighting me,” said Thomas. “Then (XFC president John) Prisco told me that he got a hold of the UFC to tell them that Stephens is under contract with them to fight me, and from what I heard, the UFC doesn’t even know who Ian Stephens is...
XFC 25 | Ryan Thomas Talks About Opponent Change
When Rocky France heard about Stephens dropping out, he jumped at the chance to call John Prisco, (Promoter and President of Xtreme Fighting Championships) and volunteer to take the bout. Prisco originally turned the bout down; until he watched the video of the first time Thomas and France met, just 3 months ago at Colosseum Combat 25. Frace told us in an interview, that Prisco called him back 20 minutes later saying, “Let’s do it!”
Che Mills vs. Valentino Petrescu welterweight bout pulled from Cage Warriors 59
A welterweight bout between Che Mills and Valentino Petrescu has been scrapped from Cage Warriors' return to Wales next month.
Mills (15-6) and Petrescu (12-3) were set to meet at Cage Warriors 59. But promotion officials on Friday that fight has been pulled from the card. First, Petrescu had to pull out of the fight, and Leeroy Barnes (12-11) was tapped to take his place. But when Mills, too, became ill, the fight had to be removed.

Vinny Magalhaes nixes retirement plans, meets Jeff Monson in November
Vinny Magalhaes has decided against retirement after all.
Magalhaes (10-7, 1 NC) has agreed to meet Jeff Monson (49-15-1) in a heavyweight bout on Nov. 9 in Hawaii, the fighter confirmed with MMAFighting.com. The fight will be a part of the Global Warrior Challenge 2: USA vs. Brazil event.
"I never really thought of retiring," he said. "I made those comments within 24 hours after I had lost a fight, so I was still a little frustrated, and I was being too emotional with my responses. That's why I haven't said a thing since. I needed to clear my mind before starting to speak about my next moves."
