Bellator signs former K-1 Champion Ewerton Teixiera
Bellator has added a Brazilian heavyweight to its roster.
Ewerton Teixeira, Winner of the K-1 World GP in 2008 and world champion in kyokushin, has signed a deal with Bellator, sources close to the situation told MMAFighting.com. Combate first reported the news.
I always liked Teixiera, he's a better kickboxer than Mighty Mo and Peter Graham and they did ok in Bellator. This should be fun.
CES June 12 AXS TV Card Filling Up Fast
Rhode Island’s CES MMA returns to the Twin River Casino & on AXS TV June 12 in Lincoln, RI. The card is quickly filling up, and will be headlined by a Welterweight Title defense. The main event pits Champion Chuck O’Neil defending his title for a second time against Ohio native Dominique Steele. O’Neil is coming off that amazing 11 second KO over Manny Walo in January. He is on a 4 fight win streak, with three finishes. Steele, a veteran of both Strikeforce & Bellator, has won 6 of 7 bouts. Two of those victories include big show vets Ryan Thomas & Dan Hornbuckle. O’Neil recently made a foray into professional wrestling in a match against teammate Eric Spicely. Spicely will also be on the card, the undefeated submission ace takes a big step up in competition as he takes on the #1 ranked middleweight Harley Beekman.

Titan FC signs prospect Hawes, veteran Cavalcante for Montreal debut
Titan FC has added a highly-regarded prospect and a fan-favorite veteran to its growing roster.
According to CEO Jeff Aronson, the promotion recently inked Philip Hawes (3-0) and JZ Cavalcante (19-8) to six-fight contracts. Both fighters are expected to make their respective debuts at Titan FC 34 on a yet-to-be determined date in June in Montreal.
