An Fedor's opponent is...
MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko is scheduled to fight for the former Pride President Nobuyuki Sakakibara in his new MMA promotion (Rizin Fighting Federation) on December 31st, 2015, but for months his opponent was not known. This has changed thanks to Inside MMA’s Bas Rutten. According to Rutten, Emelianenko will be fighting Tsuyoshi Kohsaka in a rubber match, which will air in the morning on Spike TV.

A new lawsuit alleges dire financial straits, violation of NAC rules and a dispute over international licensing rights at the World Series of Fighting. Paul Gift has the details.
WSOF Asia, an LLC whose ownership includes "prominent individuals and entities" in China and Hong Kong, filed a lawsuit in Las Vegas federal court on Monday against MMAWC, the controlling company of the World Series of Fighting (WSOF), and other individuals including CEO Carlos Silva, matchmaker Ali Abdel Aziz and member Bruce Deifik. The lawsuit paints a picture of significant internal strife in the past year along with claims of defamation, breach of contract, dire financial straits and violations of the Nevada Athletic Commission's (NAC) code for MMA promoters.

Beyond the Octagon: Fedor's rumored opponent wins MMA bout
So we've lost a Dustin Poirier fight, but I'm going to turn that collective frown upside-down. How you ask? Jaideep Singh is how!
Kickboxing champion Jaideep Singh, who won the 2009 K-1 Grand Prix in Seoul, popped into headlines recently as a rumored opponent for Fedor Emelianenko, rather dampening what excitement there was for Emelianenko's return to the ring. Since then, however, Emelianenko's former manager has suggested that Singh couldn't possibly be the true opponent for "The Last Emperor." And now, perhaps not coincidentally, Singh has appeared at last weekend's Deep 73 Impact.
Cristiane Cyborg shows off figure during cut to 140 pounds
In an effort to silence her doubters, Cristiane 'Cyborg' Justino posted a picture of a rather skinny version of herself in the gym as she continues her weight cut to 140 pounds. This afternoon, she shared the photo with her fans on Facebook.
"My next fight on Invicta FC will be at a 140 catchweight, five pounds under my division."

Nick Newell wasn't offered WSOF tournament spot, hopes to bypass winner for title shot
To his surprise, Nick Newell said he wasn’t asked to join the field of competitors for WSOF’s upcoming eight-man, one-night lightweight tournament.
The tournament takes place at WSOF 25 on Nov. 20, but Newell (12-1) has a fight scheduled against Tom Marcellino (7-3) at WSOF 24 on Oct. 17, which takes place at Foxwoods Casino Resort in Mashantucket, Conn. The main card airs on NBCSN following prelims on MMAjunkie.
'Cyborg' says she's been bullied by UFC president Dana White, champ Ronda Rousey
While their relationship has never been all that great, Cristiane Justino and the UFC seem to be drifting further and further apart.
“Cyborg,” the reigning Invicta FC featherweight champion, has long been considered a potential future opponent for UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. While the 10-pound difference has halted any shot of real fighting in the cage, it’s led to more than a few online feuds between the two fighters, as well as UFC President Dana White.
Bristol Marunde unveils aftermath of broken jaw suffered in RFA 31 headliner
As rough and tumble as the sport of MMA can be, fight fans probably never get comfortable looking at a broken jaw.
Veteran Bristol Marunde (16-10) came up short in his bid for the RFA welterweight title this past Friday. In a grueling RFA 31 headliner at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in Nevada, the AXS TV-televised title bout came to an end in the fourth round, when reigning champ Gilbert Smith (12-4) connected on a flush punch.
Mike Wilkinson on Makwan Amirkhani's callout: You're 'not on my level'
Makwan Amirkhani minced no words when he called for a future matchup with fellow UFC featherweight Mike Wilkinson.
After Wilkinson (12-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) knocked out one of Amirkhani’s (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) teammates and training partners in his most recent outing, “Mr. Finland” made it clear to MMAjunkie he wants revenge, ideally at the UFC’s scheduled event in London on Feb. 27, which is likely to be UFC Fight Night 83.
