Legacy FC 48 to feature middleweight title fight, four-man kickboxing tourney
Following this weekend’s lead from Bellator, Legacy FC will host a combo MMA-kickboxing card of its own.
Legacy FC owner/promoter Mick Maynard today announced Legacy FC 48 takes place Nov. 13 at Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, La. The main card airs on AXS TV.

'Cyborg' Justino to fight at 140 pounds on Invicta FC 15 card headlined by Souza-Grasso
Cristiane Justino (14-1) will finally move down in weight from her longtime home at 145 pounds, but it won’t be to fight in the UFC against Ronda Rousey.
“Cyborg,” who is the current Invicta FC featherweight champion, will cut to 140 pounds for a catchweight bout at Invicta FC 15 in November. Her opponent has not been determined.
Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp announced the news at Saturday’s Invicta FC 14 post-fight press conference.
Materla vs Khalidov headlines KSW 33
One of the most anticipated middleweight fights outside of the UFC has finally been scheduled for November, as champion Michal Materla and superstar Mamed Khalidov headlines KSW 33 in Krakow.
Materla has held the KSW middleweight title since 2012 when he defeated Jay Silva to claim the Polish throne. Since then, he has amassed a four-fight win streak, including victories over Rodney Wallace, Kendall Grove, Jay Silva again. Most recently, he beat Polish MMA legend Tomasz Drwal.

WSOF signs UFC, Strikeforce vet Caros Fodor and Cory Devela to multi-year deals
WSOF continues to build its roster with the addition of a pair of new fighters to the promotion.
Lightweight Caros Fodor (10-4) and middleweight Cory Devela (16-6) have signed multi-year deals with WSOF, the organization recently announced. Terms of the deals were not disclosed, nor were first opponents or fight dates for the two fighters.
WSOF next is in action next week with WSOF 23, which takes place in Phoenix.
RFA 31: Smith vs. Marunde, featuring two title fights, set for Oct. 9 in Las Vegas
RFA is back with RFA 31, which features a pair of title bouts at the top of the card.
The event takes place Oct. 9 at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The main card will air on AXS TV.
Gilbert Smith (11-4) will defend his RFA welterweight title against challenger Bristol Marunde (16-9) in the main event. The co-main event will see Zoila Frausto (12-4) face off with Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger (5-1) for the vacant RFA strawweight title.
Chael Sonnen joins WSOF as color commentator
Retired UFC fighter Chael Sonnen will join Todd Harris at the broadcast booth for this month’s “WSOF 23: Gaethje vs. Palomino” and other upcoming events, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Sonnen, no stranger to the promotion game, temporarily steps in for UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten, who is unavailable for the Sept. 18 event due to his duties as an analyst for AXS TV.
WSOF 23 takes place at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix. The event’s main card, which features a rematch between reigning champ Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino, airs live on NBC Sports Network following prelims on MMAjunkie.com.

WSOF announces one-night, eight-man lightweight tournament for WSOF 25
WSOF is jumping on the one-night-tournament bandwagon with the announcement it will hold a one-night, eight-man lightweight tournament on Nov. 20 to crown a No. 1 contender for the promotion’s 155-pound championship.
The announcement for the event, which takes place in Seattle and air live on NBCSN, was made on Twitter.
According to MMAFighting, the field of eight includes Islam Mamedov (12-1), Mike Ricci (10-4), Joao Zeferino (18-6), Rich Patishnock (6-2), Jorge Patino (37-15-2), Brian Cobb (20-8), the winner of the WSOF 23 bout between LaRue Burley (6-0) and Brian Foster (22-7) and an additional two still-unnamed competitors. Seeding is not yet official.
RFA set to debut U.S.A. vs. Brazil fight kits
When the fighters at RFA 29 walk out to compete on Friday night on AXS TV, they'll be an unusual difference from normal RFA events. Not only is the theme of RFA 29 a slide toward nationalism with a 'U.S.A vs. Brazil' framing, but the organization is also requiring fighters to wear Adidas-made fight kits.
