Joe Lauzon Interview
Excerpt: Adam Morgan: Yeah, I saw you had some pictures posted up on The Underground Forum where it said you were at roughly 185 about 48 hours out from the fight. Is that true? Joe Lauzon: That was a big joke. My brother and my roommate Brandon were in the hotel lobby and they heard Reinhardt was getting a little scared, you know, “Joe’s running around at 185! He’s so big!” and all this other stuff. So they started talking like “Oh, I can’t believe Joe’s 185. It’ll be a tough cut but he’ll make it.” So we just sort of ran with it to play on his paranoia a little bit. Too funny

Paulo Filho fights for honor
As a teenager, Filho would go to the various Karate, Muay Thai, boxing and Jiu-Jitsu academies in and around Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and challenge the top fighters. “I would go to the academy and say, ‘Hey, I want to prove to you that my art is better than yours,’” Filho said. “We would have a Vale Tudo match right there. “There were weeks when I would fight five times in a week. I have no idea how many fights I had, but definitely over 100.” Check out the rest of this new feature from the OC Register:

shonie carter speaks out on the ufc
SC: As soon as I get back, I'm going to see what's up because I know the UFC was tripping about me fighting. I'm like, look, I can't sit around and wait all year and they didn't use me all year. I mean, my rent was due. Even me going to Canada…I mean, the whole story behind me fighting goes beyond the fight. I owed child support and I was paying the mom instead of paying the state. I go to renew my passport and they cease my passport and give me 24 hours to pay it or I'm going to get a knock on the door by the sheriff.

Erik Paulson interview talking about training Lesnar and also a little on a possible Barnett/Fedor fight
PDG: Was that it or are you planning on a few more fights? Erik: I want to keep fighting and I actually was planning on a fight in early December in the Philippines for Josh Barnett’s team. They had an opening at the 205 slot for a card in Manila but things just didn’t work out that way. I was disappointed because it would have been a good rollover for me in regards to the time between my first fight and that one. I didn’t suffer any real injures in my fight with Jeff so I am ready to go now. I had a bit of an ankle sprain but even the day of the fight I went running, took a sauna, lifted some weights to get the blood flowing and swam about 10 laps in the pool. And for those who have no idea who Erik is a highlight video.

Frankie Edgar Discusses Spencer Fisher & Future
There was speculation by some Ultimate Fighting Championship fans as to whether or not Frankie Edgar would be able to handle Spencer ‘The King’ Fisher’s stand up game and in-cage experience. For those who doubted, they don’t anymore. Almost as quickly as the bout began, the momentum of the fight moved in Edgar’s direction, and it was he who dominated the Miletich fighter through the final bell. For a man who has only eight professional fights, Edgar showed the composure of a much more seasoned competitor.
