Hector Lombard gets submitted inside 2 minutes at the BJJ event in Atlanta
(sorry this is off topic from MMA, thought I would share since Lombard has been suspended from the UFC)
Following his dominant win at UFC 182, Hector Lombard's UFC title aspirations came to an abrupt halt when he tested positive for designer steroid desoxymethyltestosterone in a post-fight screening. Not content to sit out the 1 year ban issued by the NAC, Lombard made a decision to compete at the highest level in the world of submission grappling, accepting an invitation to compete at the illustrious ADCC 2015 in Brazil. Over the weekend, Lombard entered the first of his planned ADCC warm-up tournaments and things didn't go to plan for the Judo Olympian.

NY Senate passes MMA bill, for 7th time
For nine years UFC representatives have gone to NY's capitol Albany to try to get the sport legalized and regulated. Five times it passed the Senate but Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver refused to bring it to a vote. In January, Silver resigned as Speaker, following his arrest on corruption charges. The new Assembly Speaker, Carl Heastie, is a past supporter of the bill.
This year the bill again passed the Senate, but it did not get sufficient support in the Assembly. Now the Senate has passed a new version, in hopes that it will pass before the 2015 legislative session ends for the year. The legislative session is scheduled to end on Wednesday, but many expect it to extend through the week.
