Forrest Griffin has had to withdraw from his scheduled light heavyweight bout with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. The two were set to co-main event UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas. A grudge match between former light heavyweight champions and “Ultimate Fighter” coaches Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson heads the fight card. Tom Lawlor not interested in "Fight of the Night" bonus at UFC 113

Despite cashing a $30,000 bonus check in his most recent outing, UFC middleweight contender Tom Lawlor isn't interested in another "Fight of the Night" award when he meets Joe Doerksen on the preliminary card of Saturday's UFC 113 event in Montreal. "A lot of people said, 'I can't wait to see that fight; that fight's going to be awesome, and I hope it's Fight of the Night,'" Lawlor recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "That is the biggest insult and the worst thing you could tell somebody – that I hope they fight for 15 minutes, and I hope they take damage. "I'd rather fight guys that really aren't that good." Marc Ratner sees UFC taking active role in officiating recruitment, improvement

Since leaving his post as the head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission and joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2006, Marc Ratner has been a key figure in getting mixed-martial-arts regulation adopted in many U.S. states. The announcement confirms the organization's plans for a first-ever 135-pound tournament. Manny Gamburyan more than ready to face WEC featherweight champ Jose Aldo

Nothing would deter Manny Gamburyan. The WEC featherweight told UFC/WEC matchmaker Joe Silva that WEC 48 opponent Mike Brown would have to put him asleep or break a limb to stop the fight. Short of that, there would be no letup, he said. UFC welterweight Brian Foster breaks leg, hopes to fight again in August

UFC welterweight Brian Foster on Wednesday evening broke his left leg and will be out of action for at least six to eight weeks. Marc Fiore, Foster's trainer at the H.I.T. Squad, today told MMAjunkie.com the unfortunate news. Foster, a Salisaw, Okla. resident when he's not at the H.I.T. Squad's gym in Granite City, Ill., was playing basketball with players from a local high school when he fell and broke his tibia. He also dislocated his ankle. Full Article
