Paul Bradley vs. Chris Honeycutt rematch, three prelims added to Bellator 148
Following a no contest in their first meeting, Paul Bradley (22-6 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) and Chris Honeycutt (6-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) will meet for a second time at January’s Bellator 148 event. Bellator officials today announced the welterweight matchup, which will appear in the evening’s main card, as well three preliminary matchups with Anthony Avila (12-4) vs. John Reedy (11-6), Javy Ayala (8-4) vs. Carl Seumanutafa (9-6) and Art Arciniega (14-5) vs. Justin Smitley (9-7).

Melvin Guillard vs. Mike Bronzoulis added to Bellator 149 fight card
Bellator's first tentpole event of 2016 is beginning to fill up. Bellator 149: Shamrock vs. Gracie – set for Feb. 19 at Houston's Toyota Center – recently added a lightweight scrap between Melvin Guillard (32-15-2) and Mike Bronzoulis (18-9-1) to the main card festivities set to air on Spike TV.

Bellator releases five fighters, including former champion
While the UFC has been in the news for the large number of fighters they've released lately (or are rumored to be releasing), it's Bellator's roster trimming that's in the news today. The Viacom-owned organization cut five fighters from their roster, one of which held a title in the organization. Jason Floyd of The MMA Report fills us in via Twitter:

Bellator fighter Brennan Ward, additional mixed-rules fight announced for Rizin debut
Rizin Fighting announced three new fights today for its Dec. 29 debut show at the Saitama Super Arena, which include a Bellator star and a former Olympic wrestler. Brennan Ward (12-3), who has been a big crowd favorite for Bellator in fights at the Mohegan Sun Casino, near his home in Waterford, Conn., will be facing undefeated Ken Hasegawa (10-0-1) in a 178 pound catch weight fight.

Josh Thomson is looking for six fights in the next year
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- After Josh Thomson finished Pablo Villaseca in the second round of Friday night's Bellator main event, his second straight win in Bellator, the former Strikeforce champion said two things that probably surprised people. The first, when asked in the cage about a potential lightweight title match with Will Brooks, he said that he would do it, but he feels the people would rather he face Michael Chandler.

Ray Wood vs Mark Dickman Bellator fight cancelled due to injury
One of the biggest challenges for a mixed martial arts fighter is surviving the rigors of training camp. The uncertainty makes for many a fight postponement, and former Bangor-area fighter Ray “All Business” Wood now has experienced both sides of that frustration within the last two weeks.

Bellator 146 weigh-in results: Hisaki Kato and Melvin Manhoef on target for main event
Bellator 146 weigh-ins took place today, and there were no surprises as every fighter made weight for their bout. The weigh-in took place at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla., which also hosts Friday’s event. The main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie...

Bellator to hold 3 events outside north america
The first 3 events will be held in London,Tel -Aviv,and Italy.London event will be held in the O2 Arena. From the indian casino's to the O2 arena pretty cool to see the growth.

Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley get Bellator 148 opponents
They’re not fighting each other again – at least not yet – but rivals Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley have their opponents for January’s Bellator 148 event. Bellator officials today announced Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) meets fellow welterweight Matt Secor (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) in the headliner, and Daley (37-13-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) takes on fellow 170-pounder Andy Uhrich (11-5 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) in the co-headliner. Royce Gracie vs. Ken Shamrock 3, 'Kimbo' vs. 'Dada 5000' set for Bellator 149
ST. LOUIS – Fans in St. Louis were expecting to see an announcement of a Kurt Angle signing with Bellator and an announcement of a fight booking. Instead, Angle went all pro wrestling surprise on the crowd at Scottrade Center and said told fellow heavyweight Ken Shamrock that while he hopes for a fight against him one day, for now he was there to announce Shamrock against a foe he has an historic relationship with: Royce Gracie. 'King Mo' to represent Bellator in Rizin light heavyweight grand prix
Rizin Fighting Federation is loading up for its inaugural show. Muhammed Lawal will represent Bellator MMA in a light heavyweight grand prix tournament during the Rizin FF event on New Year's Eve week, former PRIDE head and Rizin president Nobuyuki Sakakibara announced Friday during Bellator 145. Will Brooks claims he was jumped by 'Pitbull' brothers, but Freire brothers insist he's lying
Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks did some hard sparring ahead of this Friday night's Bellator 145 showdown against Marcin Held, but probably wasn't expecting the "Pitbull" brothers -- Patricio and Patricky Freire -- to step up and serve as his impromptu training partners. **Go check out Twitter. is pissed off. Kimbo Slice headlines Feb. 19 Bellator event, Lashley or Thompson potential opponent
Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson is expected to return to the cage Feb. 19 in a Bellator headliner in Houston against an opponent to be determined. The Houston Chronicle first reported Slice’s (5-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) main event spot, and MMAjunkie subsequently confirmed the report with sources close to the promotion, who confirmed the event is Bellator 149 at Houston’s Toyota Center. A Bellator PR official said Slice’s participation is not confirmed. One source close to the promotion said the former street brawler could potentially face the winner of a heavyweight bout at next week’s Bellator 145 between Bobby Lashley and James Thompson, but two separate sources said negotiations are ongoing with another opponent, though they declined to name him.

Bellator 146 adds Derek Campos vs. Brandon Girtz rematch, six prelims
The lineup is almost set for Bellator’s return to Oklahoma next month with the addition of a lightweight rematch, plus six prelims. Derek Campos (15-5 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) will meet Brandon Girtz (13-4 MMA, 5-2 BMMA) in a 155-pound bout on the main card of Bellator 146, promotion officials recently announced. Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock both tease major Bellator announcement
After a whole lot of flirting with the idea over the last decade (or longer), could Kurt Angle actually have finally decided to step into an MMA cage? Well, it doesn't seem likely. Julia Budd vs Roberta Paim Rovel Planned For Bellator 146 Card
Featherweight standout Julia “The Jewel” Budd looks to extend her five-fight winning streak when she steps back into the Bellator cage on November 20th at Bellator 146 in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Budd is expected to face off against Roberta “Crusher” Paim Rovel in a featured 145-pound matchup. MMARising.com confirmed plans for the bout with Bellator officials this weekend following an initial report from Dama de Ferro MMA. Budd won her Bellator debut in February by dominating Gabrielle “Gabanator” Holloway. Paim has finished all four of her professional opponents in the first round.

Pat Curran injures knee, withdraws from Justin Lawrence bout at Bellator 145
Former Bellator featherweight champion Pat Curran has withdrawn from his Bellator 145 bout opposite former The Ultimate Fighter contestant Justin Lawrence. According to a press release issued Tuesday by Bellator, Curran sustained a knee injury that caused him to be removed from the bout. Lawrence will still appear on the card, but now faces late replacement Emmanuel Sanchez.
