UFC Fight Night 11 Salaries
I am very surpised, everyone got paid a fair amount in my eyes. Good job UFC! I found it weird that Nate Diaz's got paid so much for his second fight. Props to him for winning that contract.
Prepare For An Explosive Bout
Diego Sanchez won Season 1 of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality TV show. Jon Fitch was dropped from the cast on the eve of filming. "I was in the airport waiting to get on the plane when I got a phone call telling me not to get on the plane, that I'd been cut already," Fitch recalled.
Confessions Of A fan Of Mixed Martial Arts
Considering I'm at the upper edges of the sport's demographic, was this an unsettling confirmation of a grown man suspended in adolescent stages of development?
Fitch-Sanchez, Griffin-Rua top UFC Slate
While Chuck Liddell vs. Keith Jardine is the main event for Saturday night's UFC 76 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., the strength of this show going in looks to be more in three intriguing undercard matches.
The Fate Or Future Of The IFL
Speculation on the financial health of the International Fight League is rampant. Depending on the source, the first-of-its-kind mixed martial arts team-based league is either on the verge of collapse or thriving. The problem with such speculation is that almost none of it is rooted in fact. But required financial documents filed last month by the IFL shows that it might have as little as 6 months left to live right now. I think they're doing some good things and they've made some right moves, but they've probably gone too far forward too fast in other areas, and it's resulted in them taking on more than they can handle. Hopefully they can still turn the ship around as it seems they have time to, if done properly they can still become a viable competitor to UFC for a nice slice of the MMA pie.

Nate Quarry is no longer with team Quest.
http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=9100 The article said : Team Quest captain Matt Lindland (Pictures) wouldn't give a detailed account of Quarry's departure, but he did say via text message that he feels Quarry is just a sad, angry guy. "Nate Quarry's ability to understand business arrangements is commensurate with his ability to avoid Rich Franklin (Pictures)'s left hand," Lindland said. That is the harshest thing I've heard in a while. It sounds like he is a handfull. I wonder who's camp he will end up in.
Liddell and Jardine Start Long Road To the Top
For Chuck Liddell, the road back to the top has to start somewhere. One minute, the former UFC light-heavyweight champion was riding high, figuratively floating to the octagon on the adulation of the crowd; the next he was hitting the canvas after his opponent literally knocked him into near-unconsciousness.
Judging MMA vs. Boxing
It was barely four months ago and when Roger Mayweather-Oscar De La Hoya was being billed as the "fight that would save boxing," any right-thinking boxing fan shook his head and passed off the notion as absurd.
Veteran Thomas Doesn't Play Bit Parts
Din Thomas was cast as a fighter in his first significant acting role, a none-too-surprising decision by director Chris Fuller since Thomas is one of the world's elite mixed martial artists.
Nate Quarry Makes Comeback From Devastating Loss, Painful Back Surgery
The last time most mixed martial arts fans saw Nate (The Rock) Quarry, he was unconscious in mid-air after being felled by a crushing blow from then UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin.

Has the UFC’s Collective Ego Cost Them Big Bucks?
Nothing sells in combat sports like a rivalry. If there’s a hometown hero to root for then you’re really talking big bucks. With that said, aside from the fact we’ll never see another Pride event, are the UFC missing a trick by promoting the Pride brand so minimally?
Report: Frank Mir to Face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
With a win over Antoni Hardonk last month at UFC 74, one-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir (10-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) will reportedly get a step up in competition and face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (30-4-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) in his next fight

Sergei Kharitonov (Pictures) avenged his PRIDE loss to Alistair Overeem (Pictures) by KO in the first after an exciting round of back-and-forth stand-up action. With the striking favoring the Dutchman in the earlier portion of the fight, Overeem was able to tag Kharitonov with hard low kicks, winging right hooks, and stiff jabs.
Florian ready to take next step at Fight Night
When Kenny Florian was first introduced to the casual MMA fan during the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, most looked at the somewhat-scrawny prospect once, dismissed him as a probable early casualty of the show, and figured they'd probably never hear from him again.
The Return of Nate Quarry
Nate Quarry had finally reached the breaking point. Tortured by the pain of a degenerative disc condition in his back, the former UFC middleweight title challenger was forced to face the fact that his fighting career was on the verge of ending, and that only a dangerous spinal fusion surgery would save it.
