UFC Fight Night 93 bonuses: Josh Barnett double-dipped with $100,000 in extra checks
HAMBURG, Germany – Ryan Bader, Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at today’s UFC Fight Night 93 event – and Barnett doubled up with an extra $50,000. Barnett and Arlovski earned the “Fight of the Night,” while Bader and Barnett each won “Performance of the Night” honors. The UFC announced the winners at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended. Bader (21-5 MMA, 14-5 UFC) had some dicey moments at the end of the first round of his light heavyweight scrap on the main card against Ilir Latifi (12-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC). But in the second, he took what he figured out in the first frame and put it to work. As Latifi moved in, Bader drilled him with a massive right knee that was on the button. Latifi was out before he hit the canvas, and Bader had a walk-off win that stunned the German fans.

End of an era: Following promotion's sale, matchmaker Joe Silva leaving UFC
UFC matchmaker Joe Silva has informed the company that he will leave his job with the organization, possibly as soon as the end of 2016, MMAjunkie has learned from a person close to the situation. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not publicly authorized to discuss the matter. Silva’s departure will come on the heels of the UFC’s sale to a group headed up by talent agency WME-IMG, a deal that Silva is said to have profited from as a company executive. That financial gain, and not any discontent with the sale or new owners, is motivating Silva’s decision to retire, the source said.

An investigation of Robbie Lawler’s ‘very suspicious’ test results
Rory MacDonald recently claimed on the MMA Hour that Robbie Lawler tested 'four times higher than the limit,' and had some ‘very suspicious’ results. I believe Rory is referring to the Nevada athletic commission tests which were performed at the WADA-accredited SMRTL lab In June 2015—prior to their UFC 189 bout—the results of which were first brought to my attention by @dimspace on twitter.

‘Fan’ sues Jon Jones over UFC 200 removal
Business and analytics writer Paul Gift reports for BE that on August 19, Slattery filed a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court against the interim UFC light heavyweight champion, as well as his managers, First Round Management. Slattery charges concealment, negligent misrepresentation, and negligence. Slattery reports he bought four tickets “for the express purpose” of seeing the unification fight between Jones and division champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 200. “Just before the fight, however, Jones was dropped from the fight card after officials learned that he had tested positive for banned performance-enhancing and/or masking substances. Plaintiff was thus robbed and defrauded of the value of the tickets, wherein he suffered both economic and non-economic harm, as a result of Jones’s actions in violating anti-doping regulations, and First Round’s complicity therein,” argued Slattery. “In the alternative, Jones failed to disclose other controlled substances, and in doing so was negligent, to the relevant testing officials which again deprived Plaintiff of the value of his tickets.”
