Trash talk a onetime experiment for UFC 124 co-headliner Stefan Struve
There are hundreds of thousands of page views to back the buzz surrounding Stefan Struve and Sean McCorkle's upcoming fight. The heavyweights have propped up UFC 124's co-main event by hitting the message boards to snipe at each other. At 22 years old, Struve would seem a prime candidate for a war of keystrokes. And yes, he's had fun logging in and firing back at the noted keyboard warrior. But in the long run, he'd rather play Anderson Silva to McCorkle's Chael Sonnen.

Couture disagrees with 'Rampage' decision
They see some superficial things like Rampage moving forward the whole time in that fight and they attribute that to him winning those rounds," Couture told Paul Howard of ESPNRadio1100 in Las Vegas. "And technically that's not what was happening. It sucks to be a fighter and have that happen to you."

Joe Lauzon blames 'concrete legs' for loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 123
I figured the second round would be more like the first. But getting off the stool for the second round, my legs felt like concrete. I don't know why or what happened. I felt pretty good at the end of the first, but at the beginning of the second I felt dead. It was like I got worse. Instead of recovering, I got way worse. ... I'm not even sure. It had to be an adrenaline dump. I think I pushed a pretty good pace in the first round, but I didn't feel like it was something that would make me gassed. I felt good at the end of my first walking back to my corner. I was a little winded, but I was OK.

UFC won't start splitting weight classes
"I don't see it happening and I think Dana has his eye on the prize for why that would be a bad thing. When you add these lower weight belts, you're not running the risk of the boxing terrain, because you're not splitting weight classes to create new ones. We're just adding a few on the bottom. It would be a bigger concern if we had created a 195 weight class or something. What these new divisions do is give a platform to some of the most exciting lighter weight fighters in the world. It will bolster our fight cards. You look at some of these smaller fighters, Manny Gamburyan for instance, who was fighting in the UFC before he moved to the WEC. He moved to 145 from 155, but he could possibly even go lighter. All of the fighters will look at that." says UFC UK boss Marshall Zelaznik.

Palhares Signs New 4-Fight UFC Deal
According to trainer Murilo Bustamante via the TATAME, Rousimar Palhares, aka Paul Harris on the net, has signed a new 4-fight deal with UFC and already wants a Nate Marquardt rematch. "We've signed a new contract for Toquinho today, he'll fight four more times, it's renewed and we are on the expectations to know about his next fight. He's very motivated, he know that he let the victory escape, he made a mistake, but these things happen in life, but he's crazy to fight Nate again. He wants this fight pretty bad and he's training for it. Rousimar is conditioned and training every day as if he had a fight schedules. Our expectations are the best possible ones and I'm sure that Toquinho and these new guys from BTT will bring the Brazilians many reasons to be happy."

For Paulo Thiago It's "Just One More Chance" To "Kill Or Be Killed"
And he tells the TATAME that despite signing a new 4-fight extension with UFC, he knows that could wind up being a one-fight deal if he loses his next fight. "I think if I lose I'm out. I have to train all that has to be trained, going back over [my performances] to see what is going wrong. I am just training hard and waiting for my next fight, they still have not told me anything about my next fight. Now I am waiting to see who it is. Now it's kill or be killed, just one more chance."

TUF 12's Andy Main Defects To Team GSP Following Show’s Conclusion
Andy Main may have been drafted to Team Koscheck during the 12th season of “The “Ultimate Fighter,” but he’s happy to defect to Team GSP, as the two coaches get ready to square off in the main event of UFC 124 in Montreal. Main, who trains with the AMA Fight Club and Team Renzo Gracie in New York City, has longstanding ties with some of those closest to St-Pierre, and when the chance came to travel to Montreal and help the champion prepare for his former coach, he was happy to oblige. “Basically, as I’ve said before, John Danaher is my jiu-jitsu instructor and sort of through him I got kind of hooked back up with GSP because he came down to the city. I had also gone out and trained with Kyle Watson and we were talking to GSP a little bit while we were out there and he invited myself and Kyle Watson to come up and train with him during his camp for Koscheck. I was ecstatic. I was excited to go up and train with those guys,” Main told MMAWeekly Radio on Monday.

Phil Davis Discovers Two-Inch Gash Requiring 36 Stitches After UFC 123 Win
A victorious Phil Davis celebrated his win over Tim Boetsch like any fighter might, but first he was checked out by the doctors following his fight to make sure he was all together with no injuries. Davis seemed above board considering he took little to no damage in the fight. He finished his opponent with a submission, so not so much as a hand injury from punching someone too much. Needless to say, Davis was surprised when he found a gash over two inches long on his shin that was somehow missed in his post fight examination, simply because he didn’t know it was there.

Phil Baroni vs. Brad Tavares Official For UFC 125
A long-rumored matchup between "The Ultimate Fighter 11" semifinalist Brad Tavares and veteran fighter Phil Baroni is finally official for UFC 125. The fight will be a prelim. After a semifinal finish on "TUF 11," Tavares fought castmate Seth Baczynski at the show's live finale in June. The Hawaii native and current Las Vegas-based fighter picked up a decision victory to move his record to 5-0. Tavares has been on the sidelines since then, and the UFC 125 fight marks his first in six months. Baroni, a 10-year vet who recently tried his luck at welterweight, looks to rebound from a November 2009 decision loss to "TUF 7" winner Amir Sadollah. He hasn't fought since then, and an injury forced him out of an August UFC 118 meeting with John Salter.

Pederneiras: Convincing Aldo Not to Fight was ‘Hell’
While fans were no doubt disappointed to learn of Jose Aldo’s withdrawal from UFC 125, the top-ranked featherweight’s trainer says the news hit no one harder than Aldo himself. “It was such a really tough task for me to convince him not to fight. He wanted to fight anyway. He was really excited to make his UFC debut, but I told him [fighting] in such a crisis state, he may have really serious problems,” Andre Pederneiras, head of Nova Uniao, told Sherdog.com. “He argued that he wanted to fight anyway, that people would think he was chickening out, but I insisted and convinced him.” On Tuesday, it was reported that the newly-christened UFC featherweight champion had been forced to pull out of his New Year’s Day title defense against Josh Grispi, but Pederneiras says the injury existed long before Aldo traveled to Michigan last weekend to receive his new belt at UFC 123. “He’s felt this pain in his right arm for a long time, but you know how the tough guys behave. He just took an anti-inflammatory and kept training,” said Pederneiras. “But during training for his last two fights, it started to be more painful and, even with the medicine, he was complaining. Before we traveled for UFC 123, we went to a doctor and he said that he believed Aldo had some problem in his cervical spine, but he could only confirm after seeing the images from the exam.”

With Jose Aldo Out, Dustin Poirier Faces Josh Grispi At UFC 125
With new UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo now out of a planned UFC 125 fight against Josh Grispi, Dustin Poirier has been tapped as the replacement for Aldo. Grispi will now risk his No. 1 contender status in the matchup, which additional sources have indicated will likely no longer serve as the evening's co-main event. The new bout's exact positioning on the UFC 125 card is uncertain at this time. Verbal agreements are in place for the fight, paperwork pending.

Jesse Finney Off 12/4 Strikeforce Event
One of the featured fighters on next week's "Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu" preliminary card has been scratched from the event. According to SF's MIke Afromowitz, Jesse Finney is now off for as-yet-unknown reasons. Due to Finney's popularity in the host city of St. Louis, he had been a driving force in ticket sales for Strikeforce's Gateway City shows. He was expected to face Scott Smith but those plans fell through when Smith was put in a fight with Paul Daley.
