Rampage Jackson Says Matt Hamill 'Lit a Fire' Under Him for UFC 130 Fight
If you take Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at his word, time is running short on his mixed martial arts career. Off the couch and on the road, Brandon Vera seeking UFC redemption
If you shot a time-lapse picture of Brandon Vera on the day the UFC released him from his contract, you would see him sitting on the couch, still, as the sun rose and set in the horizon. Sure, Vera (11-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC) had lost before – several times, in fact, for a variety of reasons. But hearing word that he would no longer work for the world's biggest fight promotion – that he was out of a job – was particularly devastating.

Jason Reinhardt vs. Edwin Figueroa Set for UFC on Versus 5
Edwin Figueroa stepped in on late notice to face Michael McDonald at UFC Fight Night 24. While he came up short, losing a split decision, Figueroa did impress as the bout was awarded Fight of the Night honors. It would seem that the UFC has seen fit to give Edwin a gift at UFC on Versus 5 to show their appreciation for his late notice effort. Via UFC.com: "Jason Reinhardt and Edwin Figueroa have verbally agreed to face each other in a bantamweight bout, August 14th in Milwaukee," said UFC President Dana White. "With 20 wins, Reinhardt has never gone the distance and Figueroa is coming off a sensational "Fight of The Night" performance against Michael McDonald."
