Tim Sylvia: I Think I Ruined Andrei Arlovski-Since I KO'd Him He Hasn't Been The Same
Yes, that's the former UFC Heavyweight Champion taking credit for his fellow ex-champ's recent downfall and proving that apparently there's still some heat between them. "I would imagine Strikeforce would be better for me because they would be a little more lenient with me instead of locking me down, there is a lot of things you can’t do when you fight for the UFC. With Strikeforce I could probably fight more often, the UFC has so many top guys now that they are only fighting twice a year and I don’t want to do that. I want to fight Overeem, Fedor again, Werdum is a good fight and me and Rogers would be a good fight. Arlovski I think would be [like our fight] number three again, me knocking him out. I think I ruined the poor guy, since I knocked him out he hasn’t been the same."

Shine Fights Cancellation Explained - Matchmaker Resigns
The fallout from the Shine Fights cancellation from the weekend continues into the new week as matchmaker Ron Foster has now resigned from the promotion amidst speculation of disorder and disorganization at the event in North Carolina on Saturday. The North Carolina Boxing Authority has also responded with why the event was canceled and it had nothing to do with Ricardo Mayorga.
On Monday morning, Ron Foster announced his resignation to fighters and managers by sending an e-mail saying that he was stepping down from his duties as matchmaker for Shine Fights. When reached for comment on Monday by MMAWeekly.com, Foster was traveling at the time, and requested more time for an official response.

DREAM.14, which takes place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, airs live in the early-morning hours of May 29 at 3 a.m. ET (midnight PT). Andrei Arlovski: 'I'm 15-8 right now and it's horrible'
I feel kind of upset because I put down my trainers. We had a great camp. I don't know, after 11 months (out of action) it's kind of hard to come back, but I think I did okay. I took his couple of shots on my chin. I guess I showed the fans my chin's not weak. It was a tough fight. He's tough. It just wasn't my night. Right now I'm focused on my MMA career because when I took the fight on short notice against Brett Rogers my mind was focused on my pro boxing and as a result he knocked my ass out in less than 20 seconds. Of course I wanted to box, but in MMA I have three losses in a row. I'm 15-8 right now and it's horrible. I just have to train I guess even harder and try to fight even harder. I feel great. I could fight maybe tomorrow. It's up to Scott Coker. I want to fight, fight, fight.
Gina Carano Always Has Home With Strikeforce, But No Return Date In Sight
Once one of the most-followed mixed-martial-arts fighters of any gender, Gina Carano has all but disappeared from the public eye following her August 2009 Strikeforce title loss to Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos and subsequent acting gig. Carano, who appears in famed director Steven Soderbergh's 2011 film release "Knockout," hasn't fought professionally since that loss, which was the first of her career. And while she isn't booked for Strikeforce anytime soon, SF CEO Scott Coker intends to reach out to her soon. "We will be reaching out to her soon," Coker said after Saturday's latest Showtime-televised event. "She's still part of the family.
"We miss you Gina."
Joe Lauzon "Disgusted" That Brother Dan "Dragged His Name Through The Mud"
UFC lightweight and former TUF competitor Joe Lauzon responds to a Boston Herald post (via his official blog) that accused him and the rest of his team of abandoning his brother Dan two weeks prior to "The Upgrade's" big fight against Efrain Escudero at UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas. Dan is quoted in the article as being abandoned by his team and contends that he was holding up his end of the bargain while Joe accuses him of dogging it in training camp for every UFC fight.
Coker: Even With Fedor Win, Overeem Fight No Guarantee
Scott Coker has a little bit of advice for those assuming Fedor Emelianenko vs. Alistair Overeem for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Title will happen if Fedor beats Fabricio Werdum next month: Don't. It's not guaranteed. Coker says it's wait and see, and of course they would have to talk to M-1 Global after 6/26. And if Werdum wins, forget it.
Shine Fights exec still unsure why card was canceled, vows to return in summer
While the North Carolina Boxing Authority's decision to cancel Saturday night's Shine Fights event is just hours old, the levity of the situation has already been fully realized by the promotion's CEO, Devin Price.
"It's definitely sunk in," Price told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "This is definitely reality. It's not the reality I was hoping for, but it's definitely reality."
But what Price said he doesn't fully realize yet is why. Why did the commission pull the plug when everyone else involved was prepared to move forward – even without the participation of former boxing champion Ricardo Mayorga?
Jan Finney To Face Cristiane Santos At 6/26 Strikeforce
Just a few days after it was announced that she would defend her Srikeforce Women's Middleweight Title on 6/26, Cristiane Santos now has her challenger: Jan Finney. The fight will likely be the co-main event on 6/26. Finney, making her SF debut, has only an 8-7 career mark but has won her last 4 fights after starting her career 4-7.
