JONES OUT, SILVA SET TO FACE SONNEN AT UFC 159
(mmamental.com)
Jon Jones injured, out indefinitely, Chael Sonnen will now fight Anderson Silva for the UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 159. Anderson Silva is one more win away from the biggest super fight in Mixed Martial Arts history. All Silva (33-4) has to do is beat his rival, Chael Sonnen (27-12-1) one more time. If Silva can accomplish what he has done twice already he will hold two UFC Championships in two different weight classes. If he can do that a Championship Unification fight with Jon Jones (17-1) is inevitable.

UFC releases Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Brock Jardine, and Jon Manley
(bloodyelbow.com)
The UFC is downsizing their roster significantly, and 4 losers from UFC 157 were given the pink slip. Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Jon Manley, and Brock Jardine were all sent packing (per MMA Opinion), and their profiles no longer appear on the UFC's website. Neer (33-13-1) has now been cut 4 different times by the promotion. His latest release came after a 3 fight losing streak, completed with a decision defeat to Court McGee. it'd be hard to fathom the UFC brass bringing Josh back for a 5th time.
