Former NFL offensive lineman Bobby Jones to try out for “The Ultimate Fighter
(fiveouncesofpain.com) The tenth season of TUF will be casting mixed martial artists in the middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. It should be noted that a press released issued by Spike lists the heavyweight cutoff at 225 pounds.
An undefeated heavyweight with a combined pro/amateur record of 2-0, Jones first made his MMA debut on August 24, 2007 during a Fight Fest show in Ohio, where he recorded a TKO over Darby Hodge at just 0:34 into round 1. He followed up his successful debut with a second victory last January when he recorded another TKO in the first round, this time against William Clifford
Lawler vs. Shields Likely For June 6
(mmaweekly.com) As the second Strikeforce event continues to come together, word out of Robbie Lawler's camp is he is set to face Jake Shields on what would be a June 6 event in St. Louis. Other sources close to the fight confirmed this, but Strikeforce officials did not.

Newest UFC Banned Sponsor: Full Tilt Poker
(cagepotato.com) You Gotta Know When To Hold 'Em, Know When To Fold 'Em...UFC apparently does. Word is coming out that sponsor Full Tilt Poker, one of the top online poker sites, is the latest UFC sponsor to be blacklisted by the promotion. No specific reason given yet but rumors are it's because of UFC entering into a similar sponsor deal with fellow online poker site UltimateBet, which partners with the Absolute Poker site. There are also rumors Spike TV had something to do with it.
Fitch Signs Extension, Confirms Thiago Fight
(mmamania.com) Top UFC Welterweight Jon Fitch has signed a new 5-fight extension with UFC that will keep him with the promotion well into 2010. Additionally, Fitch also finalized the paperwork that confirms his next fight will be, as previously reported, at UFC 100 against Paulo Thiago.
Mike Brown vs Urijah Faber set for WEC 41
(mmajunkie.com) A much discussed rematch between current WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown (17-4 MMA, 3-0 WEC) and the man from whom he took the belt, Urijah Faber (22-2 MMA, 7-1 WEC), has been signed according to a report from FiveOuncesOfPain.com.
The signing has since been confirmed by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
According to the report, the bout will headline the as-yet-unannounced WEC 41 event on June 7 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif.

WEC's Danillo Villefort heading to the UFC's welterweight division
(mmajunkie.com) According to Davis, Villefort, who had already dropped from middleweight to welterweight for his WEC debut, wasn't interested in dropping from 170 to 155 pounds to stay in the WEC, which recently eliminated its 205-, 185- and 170-pound divisions. Villefort would have needed to drop to lightweight to stay in the organization.

Neer Vs. Pellegrino Now Likely At UFC 101, Not UFN 19

Carano Says Cyborg Fight Will Happen

i would have figured this was posted already, but I havnt seen it. Bobby Lashley beat Jason Guida by unanimous decision. Heres the link
