Quick little Dana White Interview
Translated from Japanese
Here it is (in Japanese). I’ll keep the summary short, since most of what he told the interviewer is similar to other American interviews he has done.
* He ripped into the DREAM promotion, calling it minor-league and said that Mirko was tuning his game up in the minor league so that he could come back to the Octagon where the real competition is.

Latest Frank Shamrock Interview
With just less than 36 hours left until his Strikeforce middleweight title defense against Cung Le on Saturday in San Jose, defending champion Frank Shamrock was gracious enough to take time out and speak exclusively with ProElite.com (SamCaplan.ProElite.com). The transcription of that conversation is now available for your reading pleasure.
Frankie Edgar Interview
Frank Edgar has gotten used to being asked when he is he going to get a shot at the championship in the Mixed Martial Arts Ultimate Fight Championships 155-pound weight class. "I'm definitely one of the players in the weight class,'' Edgar said. "It might depend on the outcome of this fight and a couple of other fights in the UFC. The 155-pound class is definitely one of the most stacked in the UFC.
Ultimate Fights Expand to Include Kids
Ultimate fighting was once the sole domain of burly men who beat each other bloody in anything-goes brawls on pay-per-view TV.
But the sport often derided as "human cockfighting" is branching out.
The bare-knuckle fights are now attracting competitors as young as 6 whose parents treat the sport as casually as wrestling, Little League or soccer.
The changes were evident on a recent evening in southwest Missouri, where a team of several young boys and one girl grappled on gym mats in a converted garage.
Two members of the group called the "Garage Boys Fight Crew" touched their thin martial-arts gloves in a flash of sportsmanship before beginning a relentless exchange of sucker punches, body blows and swift kicks...
I for one am sick of ired of the media referring to MMA as Ultimate fighting. they call it MMA later on but it is getting redundant. also, it is funny how uneducated about the sport this journalist sounds. I for one think it is OK to train them as i train an 11 year old in MMA as long as it is supervised (teach a kids class). As for actually fighting i would say i would wait until 16+ to start because i agree that it is a little too dangerous for 11, 12 and 13 year olds participating in MMA matches however i am all for them training in it.
EliteXC,CSAC at odds over Diaz removal
Nick Diaz (Pictures) will not fight Saturday night in San Jose, Calif., nor will he collect the $50,000 purse he was set to receive for his bout against South Korea's Jae Suk Lim (Pictures).
California State Athletic Commission executive officer Armando Garcia made that determination Wednesday.
Why? It depends on whom you ask.
"He did not turn in his medical information in time for the fight," said Garcia, confirming an MMAWeekly report that Diaz was removed from the Showtime-televised card. "They were just turned in today."

UFC Quick Quote: Tim Sylvia to make huge announcement this Friday
On Friday, around 12:00, I’ve got a couple of big announcements to make about my career. So all of my loyal fans will want to stay tuned to my website because this is huge.”
– Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia — who has one fight remaining on his current contract with the promotion — reveals via his official Web site that “huge” news about his career is forthcoming. Setting a date and time seems a bit strange … wonder what it could be?
Heres the link to his
Matt Serra: Pierre I was no fluke!
“It is crazy! Last year may have been an upset but, believe me, it was no fluke. What is a ‘lucky punch?’ Who do these people think I was trying to punch in the face if not Georges? Seriously – where did the luck come into it? I got him hurt and didn’t let him off the hook. Seriously, you tell me, if you aim at something, and then hit it time and time again, was it luck or did you just do what you were trying to do?… All the pressure is on GSP. He has to live up to all this BS about him, he has to step into the Octagon with a man who punched his lights out last time. I’m rematching a guy I beat inside one round, where’s the pressure? No-one is looking at me to do anything, for whatever reason, so there’s zero pressure on me.”
UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra makes the case for his rematch with Georges St. Pierre at UFC 83 in Montreal, Quebec, at the Bell Centre on April 19. It’s hard to disagree with the statement above, which is not to say that Serra is going to win. He just makes a good point.
YAMMA Loses Another One
“Big Daddy” Goodridge
If you’re Bob Meyrowitz, at what point do you just throw your hands up and say, “Alright, God didn’t want me to put together a new MMA league; I’m cursed, and my bowl-shaped ring surface is ******* gay.” Because if we were in his shoes, this would be that point.
According to TheFightNetwork, Gary Goodridge’s manager Dave Wallace has announced that Goodridge will not be fighting Eric “Butterbean” Esch in a headlining “Master’s Division” match at YAMMA Pit Fighting’s debut event on April 11th, and has chosen instead to focus on a May 9th fight against Eric Pele at a Maximum Fighting Championship card in Alberta, Canada.
EliteXC's Hawaii Event Postponed to June
A Hawaiian-based EliteXC show tentatively planned for April 26 has been pushed back to June 14.
EliteXC Live Events President Gary Shaw first mentioned the possibility of the April event during a media conference call earlier this year.
However, according to fiveouncesofpain.com, the April show has been scratched completely and will be replaced by a June 14 date.
The organization has not yet announced a definite location or venue for the rescheduled event.
The June 14 event will likely feature a fight between highly ranked welterweight Jake Shields and veteran Drew Fickett. That fight was supposed to take place Saturday at the Strikeforce/EliteXC co-promoted show, but Shields pulled out of the event on Tuesday due to a back injury. Fickett could now be scratched from the event completely.
The June event will also feature a title fight between EliteXC lightweight champion KJ Noons and challenger Yves Edwards, a bout that was originally scheduled for April, according to The Fight Network.
Although not regulated by a state athletic commission, MMA has a fanatical following in Hawaii, where organizations such as ICON Sport thrive.

Latest Cro Cop Interview
-First of all, welcome back (to Japan)!!
Crocop: Yes, I've come back.
---It's been a while since you last fought in Japan. How was it?
Crocop: It felt good. I didn't really notice before but when I was walking down to the ring, it was like I could hear each person's voice, the cheering hitting my ears, which was a mysterious feeling. The place felt like it was one, an atmosphere that can't be experienced at a UFC arena.
