White: Tito didn’t want to fight Forrest
On Saturday, UFC president Dana White continued his campaign of trying to kill the credibility of one of his biggest draws, Tito Ortiz.
According to Iole, White tried to match Ortiz up with Forrest Griffin when they first began putting together the card for UFC. Ortiz declined.
“Tito didn’t want to come over here, the big sissy,” White said.
Forrest said after yesterday’s win over Hector Ramirez that he would welcome a rematch.

Report: Vitale to replace “Ninja” Rua
Josh Gross from Sherdog.com is reporting that Niko Vitale has been tabbed to replace Murilo “Ninja” Rua to fight Joey Villasenor on the undercard of the Frank Shamrock vs. Phil Baroni main event this Friday.
Rua was taken off the card after he was unable to pass a physical that was administered by the California State Athletic Commission.
The article quotes Ken Pavia, the manager for Vitale, as saying that the fight will be non-title due to the fact that Vitale is a late addition to the card. Villasenor vs. Rua had originally been scheduled as a five-round bout to declare a winner of the vacant EliteXC middleweight title.
Bodog Fight Billionaire Makes UFC President an Offer He Can’t Refuse
In response to recent comments made by Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White, Bodog Fight founder Calvin Ayre is pleased to extend a once-in-a-lifetime offer to his mixed martial arts rival.
White’s unfortunate public diatribe included slanderous comments about the Canadian billionaire, referring to the online gaming mogul as a “criminal”. The notoriously bald UFC promoter goes on to liken Mr. Ayre to a Richard Pryor character, stating “he’s like that guy in Brewster’s Millions who is trying to spend all his money in 48 hours.”
With July 14th’s Bodog Fight: Eddie Alvarez vs. Matt Lee marking Ayre’s first event on U.S. soil, the digital entertainment icon is referencing another Hollywood film, The Godfather, by making White “an offer he can’t refuse.”
Frank Trigg “Twinkle Toes” Interview
Marlene: You’ve done a great job commentating on Pride Fights for FSN, are we looking to see you commentating for a while?
Frank: I have no idea! I have no idea what’s going on with Pride, like everybody else right now, I’m trying to figure out what’s going to happen next with the UFC/Pride merger. I’m just waiting to find my place or if I have a spot there at all.
Marlene: How’s your training coming along?
Frank: I’ve been doing a lot of exercising, a lot of jiu jitsu training with John Luis. I start going back in the ring next week with Randy Couture doing a little light sparring. I really don’t have anything coming up in the near future so I’m not worried about what’s going on.
Marlene: Will we be seeing you back in the welter weight division or do you see yourself more in the middle weight division?
Frank: I prefer to stay at middleweight, I’m happier and it’s easier for me to make the weight and I get to have a little fun. Training is more fun when I’m at 185, when I was down to 170 it hurt all the time, I just feel better when I’m up.
Marlene: Will you tell me more about your fight in Pride against Kazuo Misaki? I know he won against Dan Henderson.

For two rounds it was as easy as a stroll in the park.
Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin (Pictures) was having his way with Yushin Okami (Pictures), easily sweeping the tall Japanese mixed martial artist on all three scorecards during the fight's opening 10 minutes.

Renzo ashamed of cousin Royce

Wow. The Gracie Train is falling apart faster than Amtrack. On an interview with Taggradio , cousin Renzo does not mince his words, stating that Royce should be "ashamed" of 'supplementing' the Gracie Diet and commenting that Royce has been distancing himself from The Family.
Gracie Maintains Innocence Regarding CSAC Results.
Of the mixed martial artists that fought June 2 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, MMA pioneer Royce Gracie (Pictures) was likely the last man anyone would have tabbed a steroid user.
However, on Thursday, that veneer was crushed when the California State Athletic Commission revealed the 40-year-old Brazilian tested positive in both "A" and "B" samples for traces of Nandrolone, a commonly used anabolic steroid.
Rich Franklin - Money Player
Rich Franklin’s a helluva guy, but despite that soft-spoken demeanor, the former UFC middleweight champion doesn’t play well with others. In fact, when it comes to his athletic life, he’s downright selfish. In other words, he would never be the sixth man in basketball, the setup reliever in baseball, or the offensive lineman in football. Rich Franklin has to be the star, the man with the ball when time’s running out, the one upon whose shoulders rests victory or defeat.
IS TYSON GRIFFIN BACK ON TRACK?
Highly touted as the next big star in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s lightweight division, Tyson Griffin finds himself in unfamiliar territory… coming off of a loss. Tomorrow in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he looks to get back on track, but it will be no easy task as he faces fellow rising talent Clay Guida.
Quick UFC 72 weigh-in video
Nice quick video, not much time wasted in watching it. Franklin looks pretty ripped... and who knew that Eddie Sanchez's nickname is "the Manic Hispanic" ?
Franklin: Under Pressure
If Rich Franklin (Pictures) hopes to regain the UFC middleweight title anytime soon, he must be triumphant over Yushin Okami (Pictures) on Saturday.
Breaking News: Gracie Fails Drug Test.
Mixed martial arts icon Royce Gracie (Pictures), best known as the slender gi-wearing Brazilian who twisted oversized competitors into knots during the early days of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, tested positive for traces of Nandrolone, a commonly used anabolic steroid, following his decision win over Kazushi Sakuraba (Pictures), June 2 in Los Angeles, the California State Athletic Commission revealed Thursday.
Gracie (14-3-3) has been suspended from June 2, 2007 through May 30, 2008, and is fined $2,500, the maximum penalty by the CSAC. The 40-year-old member of the legendary fighting family has until July 13 to appeal the suspension to the CSAC.
Calls to Gracie's representatives were not immediately returned.
I gotta say, wow... Just wow... out of all the people. Crazy.
Forrest Griffin - Nothing Else Matters
How do you describe 2006 for Forrest Griffin? Did his gallant stand in a close decision loss against former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz and a rematch victory over Stephan Bonnar make it his best year as a fighter, or did his devastating TKO defeat at the hands of Keith Jardine in December forever mark that 12 month period as the worst of his professional life?
