Germaine de Randamie injured, out of UFC on FOX 17 bout with Sarah Kaufman
UFC on FOX 17 is undergoing some changes in the weeks leading up to the event as Germaine de Randamie has been forced out of her women’s bantamweight bout with Sarah Kaufman due to injury.
UFC officials confirmed the news to MMAjunkie Thursday evening.

Tom Breese vs. Keita Nakamura added to UFC Fight Night 83 in London
One of England’s own has found his way to the UFC’s return to London later this winter.
Tom Breese (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will put his unbeaten record on the line against Keita Nakamura (31-6-2 MMA, 1-3 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 83 in February. UFC officials today announced the new matchup.
UFC Fight Night 83 takes place Feb. 27 at The O2 in London. U.S. broadcast plans have yet to be revealed. An official headliner has not yet been announced, but a middleweight matchup of England’s own Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) vs. Gegard Mousasi (37-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC) could become the main event.
Breese, who trains at Tristar Gym in Montreal, has a perfect start to his pro career with six submissions and three knockouts in his nine victories. Both of his UFC wins, after coming to the promotion earlier this year, have been in the first round. The Cage Warriors and BAMMA veteran from Birmingham stopped Luiz Dutra with a TKO with two seconds left in the first round at UFC Fight Night 67 in Brazil in May.
UFC signs Jason Knight to meet Tatsuya Kawajiri at next week's TUF 22 Finale
Next week’s TUF 22 Finale in Las Vegas has a late-notice replacement signed for his UFC debut.
With Mirsad Bektic (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) out of a featherweight bout against Tatsuya Kawajiri (34-8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) with an injury, newly signed Jason Knight (13-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will join the card against the Japanese fighter. UFC officials today announced the new matchup at UFC.com.
Geane Herrera in for Justin Scoggins vs. Joby Sanchez at TUF 22 Finale in Las Vegas
The middle card in next week’s trio of UFC events in Las Vegas has taken another hit the week before the fight, but a late-notice replacement has stepped in to save the bout.
Justin Scoggins (10-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) has been forced out of a flyweight bout against Joby Sanchez (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at the TUF 22 Finale with an injury, UFC officials recently announced. But stepping in to fight Sanchez on a week’s notice is Geane Herrera (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC)
Conor McGregor moving up to lightweight after Jose Aldo fight is 'almost set in stone'
Conor McGregor might not be long for the featherweight division. Even if he beats Jose Aldo to unify the UFC featherweight title.
"I feel like it's almost set in stone -- KO Jose and KO whoever holds that lightweight belt," McGregor said Wednesday at a UFC 194 media lunch. "And within the next two fights, I will be a two-weight world champion once again. But this time within the UFC."
McGregor held both belts under the Cage Warriors banner in Cage Warriors. A lot to still has to happen for him to do the same thing on the big stage, though.
Joe Rogan says UFC contract complete in August, unsure if he'll return to commentary
Joe Rogan’s days as a UFC commentator could be numbered.
The longtime UFC commentator and analyst, one of the most popular personalities in the sport, recently revealed his contract with the organization is set to expire in August – and he’s non-committal about whether he’ll re-up.
“My contract’s up in August. I might leave in August,” Rogan said on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. “It’s possible. I like doing sh-t that scares me. I like doing stuff – I like taking chances in that I like walking away from things. I like doing that. I like experiencing new things. You open up new doors, your mind starts firing in a different way. I’m not a big fan of doing the same sh-t over and over and over again.
Dana White says Ronda Rousey will receive immediate rematch against Holly Holm
UFC President Dana White believes a rematch between UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm (10-0) and former champ Ronda Rousey (12-1) is imminent.
"I think that if we didn't make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta] should probably lose our promoters' license," White said on the morning ESPN radio show Mike & Mike. "Yeah, that fight's going to happen. I don't know when, but that's the fight that will happen."
Dos Anjos unhappy with Cerrone's IV use: 'He has plenty of stomach to drink beer'
Donald Cerrone has been cleared to use an IV to rehydrate after cutting weight for his title fight against champion Rafael dos Anjos, at UFC on Fox 17 this December 19th. The move appears to have, rubbed Dos Anjos the wrong way.
According to the champion, that gives "Cowboy" an unfair advantage, but it ultimately will not matter, as he believes he will still beat him soundly, like he did the first time they met.

At this point, you have to wonder if UFC isn’t playing a joke on hardcore fans, or if Reebok is in charge of its official store.
Whatever the case, the promotion has a serious quality control problem on its hands.
In the latest of wardrobe gaffes involving official UFC apparel, the UFC’s online store offers a t-shirt that advertises Conor McGregor as the man who “has defeated Chad Mendes for the Featherweight Title Champion!”
Sage Northcutt pulled from TriStar gym ahead of Cody Pfister fight on Dec. 10
That was fast.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight phenom Sage Northcutt, who went to the famed TriStar Gym back in October, will no longer be using the Montreal facility to prepare for his upcoming fight against Cody Pfister, which takes place at the UFC Fight Night 80 event on UFC Fight Pass on Dec. 10, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Reebok recently released its new UFC fighter kit, for one of the sport’s top stars. Two of them. Kind of.
Have you heard of that UFC legend Anderson Aldo? Yeah, neither have I. Epic Reebok fail. The shirt was supposed to be Anderson Silva’s, but somehow Anderson Aldo got onto it. Who exactly is making these shirts? Scott Coker? Nick Diaz? Edmond Tarverdyan?
Tyrone Spong out, Clinton Williams in against Jake Heun at WSOF 26
Tyrone Spong is having a hard time making his big MMA return.
The world-class champion kickboxer is injured and out of his co-main event fight with Jake Heun at World Series of Fighting 26 on Dec. 18 in Las Vegas, WSOF president Ray Sefo confirmed with MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. Sherdog was the first to report the news.
In Spong's place will be Clinton Williams, according to Sefo. Williams (7-2), a well-muscled heavyweight, will be making his WSOF debut. The 31-year-old has won four of his last five fights. Williams is coming off a third-round submission of Jared Hatch last month at SteelFist Fight Night 38.
UFC 195 gets change-up: Russell Doane out, Joe Soto in vs. Michinori Tanaka
Just a few days after announcing a bantamweight fight between Russell Doane and Michinori Tanaka for UFC 195, there has been a switcheroo.
Doane (14-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is out of the January fight against Tanaka (10-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in favor of onetime title challenger and former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Soto (15-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC). The update was made to the official fight card at UFC.com.

Michael Bisping vs. Gegard Mousasi set for UFC Fight Night 83 in London
UFC officials today announced the first three scheduled bouts for February’s UFC Fight Night 83 event in London, including a middleweight matchup of Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) vs. Gegard Mousasi (37-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC).
Additional bouts include featherweights Makwan Amirkhani (12-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) vs. Mike Wilkinson (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and lightweights Rustam Khabilov (17-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) vs. Norman Parke (21-4-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC).
Bisping vs. Mousasi was not confirmed as the headliner for the card, with a UFC official telling MMAjunkie that “bout positioning on the card will follow in due course.”
Korean promotion ROAD FC floats $200,000 offer for Benson Henderson
Let the bidding begin. Just a few days after completing the final fight on his UFC deal, Benson Henderson (23-5 MMA, 11-3 UFC) is already being publicly courted by Korean-based promotion ROAD FC.
“Benson Henderson put on an amazing performance in Seoul,” ROAD FC General Manager Mark Lee told MMAjunkie via email. “ROAD FC is aware he would like to test his upcoming free agency. We are interested in discussing a contract with Mr. Henderson for $200,000.”
When pressed, Lee declined to offer any other specifics on the terms of the offer he intends to make for the former UFC lightweight champion’s services, including whether the figure was per fight or total value. Henderson’s management team wasn’t immediately available for comment.
