With Bellator clearance, Paul Daley heads to UAE to fight Rodrigo Ribeiro
(mmajunkie.com) UFC and Strikeforce vet Paul Daley (31-12-2) has received clearance from Bellator and will continue his world tour in May when he takes on fellow welterweight Rodrigo Ribeiro (9-10) at Dubai Fighting Championship 4, officials recently announced.
The event takes place May 10 at Madinat Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Daley vs. Ribeiro serves as the headliner of the show.
Daley most recently earned a vicious flying-knee knockout of Patrick Vallee at Cage Contender XVI in Dublin, which followed a Bellator 72 TKO win over Rudy Bears. The English striker is now on a 4-1 run since a pair of 2011 losses in Strikeforce.
Daley is expected to return to Bellator later this year.
Cristiane Santos meets replacement Fiona Muxlow at Invicta FC 5
(mmajunkie.com) With Ediane Gomez (10-2) injured and out of the fight, former Strikeforce champion Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (10-1) instead will fight Australian featherweight Fiona Muxlow (6-2) at next month's Invicta FC 5 event.
Invicta FC officials announced the change following confirmation of Gomez's withdrawal due to a shoulder injury.
Muxlow initially was slated to fight Julie Budd (4-2) on the card. Officials said Budd will get a new opponent.
Invicta FC 5 takes place April 5 at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. Santos vs. Muxlow is scheduled for the event's main card, which airs via online pay-per-view.
Lucas Martins vs. Jeremy Larsen targeted as 13th bout for May's UFC on FX 8 card
(mmajunkie.com) A lightweight matchup between Brazilian striker Lucas Martins and Jeremy Larsen has reportedly been added to May's UFC on FX 8 event.
Brazilian outlet Ataquetotal.com first reported the contest, and Tatame.com has since confirmed the booking with additional sources. UFC executives have yet to make an official announcement, but the proposed bout represents the 13th contest for the fight card.
With a main event of Vitor Belfort vs. Luke Rockhold, UFC on FX 8 takes place May 18, likely at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul. The event's main card airs on FX following prelims on FUEL TV and Facebook.
With Jim Hettes out, Kurt Holobaugh steps in to face Steven Siler at UFC 159
(mmajunkie.com) Jim Hettes (10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has been forced out a planned UFC 159 matchup with Steven Siler (21-10 MMA, 3-1 UFC), and Strikeforce import Kurt Holobaugh (9-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has agreed to take his place.
UFC officials revealed the switch during Tuesday's new edition of "UFC Tonight."
UFC 159 takes place April 27 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The main card, including a main event between light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen, airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook. Holobaugh vs. Siler is expected to take place on the evening's preliminary portion.

(mmajunkie.com) A post-fight drug test for UFC heavyweight Lavar Johnson, who lost a unanimous decision to Brendan Schaub at UFC 157, has been flagged for elevated levels of testosterone.
Alcantara vs. Vinicius, Dias vs. Gamburyan targeted for May's UFC on FX 8 event
(mmajunkie.com) Two new fights have reportedly been added to this May's UFC on FX 8 event in Brazil with bantamweights Yuri Alcantara (27-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) vs. Marcos Vinicius (20-4-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and featherweights Hacran Dias (21-1-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Manny Gamburyan (12-7 MMA, 3-5 UFC).
Brazilian media outlet SportTV.com first reported the new contests, though UFC executives have yet to make an official announcement.

(mmajunkie.com) A middleweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil" finalist Daniel Sarafian (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and promotional newcomer Eddie Mendez (7-0-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) is in the works for UFC on FUEL TV 10.
Tatame.com first brought word of the matchup, though UFC officials haven't made a formal announcement.
UFC on FUEL TV 10, which also serves as the finale for "TUF: Brazil 2," takes place June 8, likely at Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. The main card airs on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.
It's not clear where Sarafian vs. Mendes will be placed on the lineup.

Fortunes changed for five at UFC 158
(mmafighting.com) A lot was made on Saturday night of the ending in the ring of the Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz fight.
After a grueling 25-minute fight, a victorious St-Pierre asked his hometown crowd at the Bell Centre in Montreal to cheer the man they paid $3.7 million to see get smashed into oblivion.
"(He did) a great job of promoting the fight," said St-Pierre. "He's a good guy. Please give him hands (applause)."
To a crowd where their champion can do almost no wrong, that was met with resounding boos. Fans at home had similar reactions. They had paid somewhere in the range of $35 million or more, based on commercials that led them to believe Diaz was a brooding, disrespectful outlaw who was finally going to get what was coming to him by one of the most talented fighters the sport will ever see. Instead, they were left in some cases with frustrations and mixed feelings...
