Kongo Respects Nelson for lack of Steroids
(punchdrunkgamer.com)

PDG: You have stirred up some controversy as of late with some of your comments on Steroids and TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). What is your opinion of fighters using TRT and in your eyes is it any different than using illegal supplements? Cheick Kongo: I don’t agree with TRT usage in sports in general. The main problem with TRT is that most of the users (not just in mixed martial arts), only need it because they used steroids in the past, and it’s not fair. This is what I think. I am a fighter, not a cheater. I am clean, I expect my opponent to be clean too. That’s one of the reason I respect Roy Nelson.

Fortunes changed for five at UFC 158
(mmafighting.com)
A lot was made on Saturday night of the ending in the ring of the Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz fight. After a grueling 25-minute fight, a victorious St-Pierre asked his hometown crowd at the Bell Centre in Montreal to cheer the man they paid $3.7 million to see get smashed into oblivion. "(He did) a great job of promoting the fight," said St-Pierre. "He's a good guy. Please give him hands (applause)." To a crowd where their champion can do almost no wrong, that was met with resounding boos. Fans at home had similar reactions. They had paid somewhere in the range of $35 million or more, based on commercials that led them to believe Diaz was a brooding, disrespectful outlaw who was finally going to get what was coming to him by one of the most talented fighters the sport will ever see. Instead, they were left in some cases with frustrations and mixed feelings...

Nick Diaz steals the spotlight
(sports.yahoo.com)
St-Pierre dominated in the Octagon, easily winning all five rounds on all three judges' cards. But then Diaz showed up in the late stages of the news conference and once again stole the show. Among the nuggets he dropped: • He'd like a rematch, after losing 50-45 on all three cards and mounting next-to-no offense. • He believes St-Pierre has little power and "hits like a girl." • He wants to retire. Georges St.Pierre's hand is raised after a win over Nick Diaz. (USA Today Sports) • He thinks he matches up well with pound-for-pound champion Anderson Silva. • And, most amazing of all, he said he hasn't paid taxes ever in his life.
