Despite recent skid, Gray Maynard re-ups with UFC for late winter return
Personally, I thought Gray Maynard should have retired following his loss to Nate Diaz back in late 2013, but it doesn't matter what I think because A) I don't run a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion and B) I don't have to feed Maynard's kid.

Jon Jones to DC: You beat a guy that was 50 years old in your last fight
Jon Jones isn’t exactly impressed with the path Daniel Cormier has taken to earn a shot at the light heavyweight title. After debuting in the Octagon with heavyweight victories over Frank Mir and Roy Nelson, Cormier moved to 205 pounds, where he has garnered dominant triumphs against Patrick Cummins and Dan Henderson in his first two outings. The funny thing is, just 1-2 years ago, Hendo was slated to fight Jones before an injury interrupted that show down, then Machida + Rashad beat Hendo up to de-rail that....but after Hendo KO'd Fedor, a lot of ppl wanted to see him fight Jones. Doubt he would have won, but he is a diff style of fighter Jones has fought. Would love to hear what Hendo thinks of these comments.....lol WAR HENDO

UFC champ Jon Jones gets 'Jeopardy' gameshow mention
It's always fun to see when MMA fighters get any small recognition in the mainstream. Ronda Rousey in movies like Entourage, for example, make us smile because we see how far the sport has come since it's banned from cable and most states days.

Coach says Ronda Rousey is 'sadistic'
Former Judo champion, and legendary fight coach "Judo" Gene LeBell has long styled himself as a 'sadistic son of a bitch.' So, when the old warrior basically says the same of UFC champion Ronda Rousey, who he's known since she was a kid, you'd better believe him, and believe that he means it as a compliment.

Jon Jones compares fighting Daniel Cormier to fighting Chael Sonnen
ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- Say what you will about Jon Jones, but it's rare to see the UFC's light heavyweight champion caught in the theatrical world of ‘beef' quite like he is with UFC 182 rival Daniel Cormier.
