CNN reviews MMA (update: LINK found)
I just caught a news brief on CNN talking about MMA in general. Of course they only showed highlights of UFC Fight Night events from Spike. But it was a balanced report. They even reinterviewed Senator McCain and now he says "I have no interest in it, but now that there are sanctioned rules in place I have no problem with it." I'm trying to find a related link on the internet but can't find anything so if you watch CNN today I'm sure they'll replay that segment like they replay all of their news throughout the day. EDIT: (YOU NEED TO SCROLL HALF WAY DOWN THE PAGE OF THE LINK)

Sokoudjou wants Tito or Shogun
On a recent Full Contact Fighter radio broadcast, Sokoudjou has stated that if he fights next in the UFC he wants to fight Tito Ortiz. If he fights next in Pride then he wants Shogun. Considering that it has been announced that Shogun will be fighting in the UFC (at UFC 76), it looks like if Sokoudjou is to get his wish he will need to come to the UFC! Sokoudjou fights at light heavyweight and holds wins over Ricardo Arona and Big Nog's little brother (little Nog). http://mma.gocurious.com/archives/235-Sokoudjou-wants-Tito-or-Shogun.html
Justin McCully Returns @ UFC 76
Tito Ortiz’s training partner Justin McCully (8-3-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who scored a unanimous-decision win over Antoni Hardonk in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 9 in April, has accepted a slot on the UFC 76 fight card in Anaheim.
Kalib Starnes VS Alan Belcher at UFC 77
It's the second article on the page. Kalib Starnes (Pictures) to meet Alan Belcher (Pictures) at UFC 77 Kultar Gill (Pictures)'s Revolution Fight Team stablemate Kalib Starnes (Pictures) exclusively told Sherdog.com that he will be fighting on the same card as the Anderson Silva-Rich Franklin (Pictures) rematch at UFC 77 in Cincinnati, Ohio. And although the contract is not yet signed, he's expecting to square off against Alan Belcher (Pictures). He plans on continuing the bi-coastal training routine that he has set up with the Revolution Fight Team in Vancouver, as well as American Top Team in Florida. It is this combination that helped him achieve success over Chris Leben (Pictures) at UFC 71 in May. Kalib claimed that each location has its own benefits. Vancouver for instance, in addition to being the home of his young daughter, provides him with world class ground training from 5-time world BJJ champion Fernandez, as well as Colin Daynes, who represented Canada in Greco Roman wrestling at the 96 Olympic Games. "These guys are comparable, if not better than anywhere else in the world," Starnes opined. But when it comes to the weakest part of his skill set -- which Kalib freely admits is his boxing -- Florida is the place to be. "The weakest part of my game has been my boxing," said the Ultimate Fighter vet, "so to come down here to focus with an Olympic Gold Medalist with almost 40 years experience in the game, Howard Davis Jr. -- that's invaluable. "I can get great training in Vancouver, but when it comes to sparring, in Florida I have twenty guys in my weight class to spar with as opposed to two in Vancouver. I need to have guys in there all the time who are better than me or as good as me, and that's what I get down here." "He's got heavy hands and he hits hard, and he has some jiu-jitsu experience," said Starnes of his potential opponent. "He'll be a big boy, so it should be a good fight."
Gonzaga’s jiu-jitsu key to heavyweight title
UFC heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga used his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to dispatch much-heralded Mirko Cro Cop in April in Manchester, England, and you can bet that part of his game will be front and center when he faces champion and MMA legend Randy Couture on Aug. 25 in Las Vegas.
