Jon Jones b sample tests positive
The results of Jon Jones' B sample from a test administered on June 16 has confirmed the presence of a banned substance, United States Anti-Doping Agency spokesperson Ryan Madden confirmed to ESPN on Friday.
On Wednesday, Jones, 28, was removed from a scheduled title bout against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 after USADA informed him of a potential anti-doping violation. Jones requested his B sample be tested by the same lab in Salt Lake City.
Johny Hendricks misses weight for UFC 200
Hendricks, the former UFC Welterweight Champion and a two-time NCAA champion wrestler at Oklahoma State, weighed in at 171.25 pounds, missing weight by a quarter pound. Hendricks is scheduled to fight Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200 on the FOX Sports 1 preliminary card Saturday. He will forfeit 20 percent of his fight purse to Gastelum
Flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson injured, out of UFC 201 title fight with Wilson Reis
UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has been forced out of a scheduled title defense for just the second time in his nearly four-year reign as divisional kingpin.
Johnson (24-2-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) suffered an injury ahead of his planned UFC 201 title bout against Wilson Reis (20-6 MMA, 4-2 UFC), and the bout has been pushed back to a later date that has yet to be determined.
A source close to the event confirmed the change with MMAjunkie but spoke on the condition of anonymity since a formal announcement hasn’t been made. Globo first reported it.
Miesha Tate nearly misses weigh-in window, fight with Amanda Nunes still on
Miesha Tate almost missed the two-hour window to weigh-in Friday morning here at the Monte Carlo. If Tate would have checked in after 10 a.m. PT, her main event title fight with Amanda Nunes would have been called off, per UFC spokesperson Dave Lockett. Tate hit the scale and made weight (134.5 pounds) at about 10:02 a.m.
Kelvin Gastelum and Johny Hendricks also narrowly made the window between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Hendricks missed weight at 171.25 pounds and has to forfeit 20 percent of his fight purse to Gastelum. Gastelum made weight at 171 pounds. Both weighed in before Tate, just before 10 a.m.
Anderson Silva Vs Daniel Cormier official for UFC 200
Daniel Cormier will remain on Saturday's UFC 200 card and fight former middleweight champion Anderson Silva in a three-round, nontitle light heavyweight fight.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the news to ESPN on Thursday evening. Cormier, the light heavyweight champion, was originally scheduled to fight Jon Jones at UFC 200, but that fight fell through Wednesday, when Jones was informed of a potential anti-doping violation.
Diego Sanchez vows to fight smarter after concerns about brain injury
Sanchez decided to visit the Cerebrum Health Center in Dallas before his fight in March against Jim Miller and find out if there’s extensive damage that could impair his motor functions and memory.
“I went to get checked out because I had been hit in the head several times in my career,” Sanchez said to Yahoo Sports. “I thought it wouldn’t hurt to get my brain checked out and make sure nothing is going wrong there.”
Klinger in for injured Vassell, Grove vs. Mulheron added to Bellator 158
Linton Vassell has been knocked out of his bout with Francis Carmont at Bellator 158.
Vassell (16-5 MMA, 5-2 BMMA) was scheduled to compete in front of his fellow countrymen at the event, but will instead be replaced by Lukasz Klinger (7-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).
Bellator 158 takes place July 16 at The O2 in London. The main card airs on Spike at 9 p.m. ET via tape delay. Untelevised prelims stream at 1 p.m. ET on MMAjunkie.
In addition to Klinger taking on Carmont (24-11 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) at light heavyweight, British heavyweight veteran Neil Grove (12-7-1 MMA, 3-3 BMMA) will take on James Mulheron (8-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) on the preliminary portion of the card.
ONE Championship Confirms Two More 2016 Cards in Macau and Bangkok
ONE Championship officials on Wednesday confirmed two more cards that for 2016. On Aug. 13, the promotion heads to Macau for the first time. The other new addition to the schedule is a show in Bangkok on Dec. 17.
Venetian MacauNext month’s event will be at the 15,000 capacity Cotai Arena. The venue is situated in the bowls of the Venetian Resort & Casino and has played host to a couple of Manny Pacquiao fights in recent years.
The UFC also held three events at the Cotai Arena between 2012 and 2014, but has not returned in nearly two years. Boxing promoter Top Rank has also held multiple shows in the venue, featuring the likes of Zou Shiming and Rex Tso, as well as Manny Pacquiao.

Solemn Jon Jones gives update on his mother's battle with diabetes
The UFC interim light heavyweight's mother Camille will be back home in upstate New York on the mend following surgery to have part of her leg removed due to complications from diabetes. Jones made the sad revelation about his mother's health after UFC 197 and explained it further at a recent UFC media lunch.
Jones, 28, said his mother has struggled with diabetes for years and it has begun to have a noticeable affect on her health, including loss of eye sight and part of her leg having to be amputated. Jones said Camille is currently in training for a prosthetic and is doing better than she was back in April during UFC 197 fight week.
