Ricci made his WSOF debut during the one night Lightweight tournament at WSOF 25 with a vicious head kick KO of Joe Condon unfortunately for the Tristar product a hip injury kept him from continuing in the tourney. Currently riding a 3 fight win streak with wins over the likes of Jorge Gurgel and George Sotiropoulos “The Martian” is finally looking like the prospect he was touted to be 4 years ago.
Brad Scott-Krzysztof Jotko, Scott Askham-Chris Dempsey set for UFC Fight Night 83
The UFC’s return to London in February has a new pair of fights added to the lineup featuring a pair of England’s own.
England’s Brad Scott (10-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) will take on Poland’s Krzysztof Jotko (16-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in a middleweight bout at UFC Fight Night 83, and British fan favorite Scott Askham (13-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) will fight Chris Dempsey (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC), also at 185 pounds. UFC officials announced the new bookings today.
Julianna Pena arrested on assault charges after allegedly fighting outside a bar
One of the UFC's top female stars was arrested early Sunday morning.
Julianna Pena, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by the Spokane (Wash.) Police Department, according to Cpl. Jordan Ferguson of the Spokane PD. She was arrested at 2:20 a.m., Ferguson said, and booked into the Spokane County Jail at 2:53 a.m. Sunday morning, per online jail inmate information.

Undefeated fighters Sage Northcutt, Andrew Holbrook to collide in New Jersey
Nineteen-year-old mixed martial arts (MMA) phenom Sage Northcutt will make a quick turnaround from his second round guillotine finish of Cody Pfister at UFC Fight Night 80 last week.
The undefeated fighter (7-0) will face fellow undefeated Lightweight prospect Andrew Holbrook (11-0) at UFC on FOX 18 inside Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Jan. 30, 2016. The fight was announced during the UFC on FFOX 17 main card in Orlando, Fla., last night (Sat., Dec. 19, 2015).
Joe Warren vs. Darrion Caldwell headlines Bellator 151 in March
The bantamweights will take center stage in March at Bellator 151.
Officials today announced former featherweight and bantamweight champion Joe Warren (13-4 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) is scheduled to fight undefeated 135-pounder Darrion Caldwell (8-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) in the event’s headliner.
Bellator 151 takes place March 4 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla. The main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.
UFC Fight Night 81 set with Boetsch-Herman, Cruickshank-Felder on UFC Fight Pass
The fight card is set for next month’s UFC Fight Night 81 event, and the lineup includes some notable names from top to bottom.
The event takes place Jan. 17 at TD Garden in Boston. After early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, the remainder of the card airs on FOX Sports 1.

UFC prospect Aljamain Sterling officially hits open market
One of the sport’s most promising bantamweights is officially on the open market.
Aljamain Sterling (12-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who’s ranked No. 9 in the MMAjunkie/USA TODAY Sports MMA bantamweight rankings, recently moved to 4-0 under the UFC banner with a second-round submission victory Johnny Eduardo (27-10 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 80.
Following the Dec. 10 event, UFC President Dana White said the 26-year-old Serra-Longo Fight Team member wouldn’t be subject to the exclusive negotiation period. Instead, Sterling would be able to transition to the non-exclusive matching period of his contract, which means he can entertain offers from other promotions immediately.
Shamrock will corner his brother against Royce
The Shamrock brothers will be back together again.
Frank Shamrock will be in the corner of his adopted brother Ken when Ken fights Royce Gracie at Bellator 149 on Feb. 19 in Houston, Ken said Wednesday at a media day. Frank will also formulate Ken's strategy for what will be Ken's third time fighting his fellow MMA legend.

Bethe Correia vs. Jessica Eye Added to UFC Fight Night 82 in Pittsburgh
On Wednesday night, it was revealed the UFC had booked a women’s bantamweight contest between former title contender Bethe Correia and Jessica Eye has been booked for UFC Fight Night 82 in Pittsburgh.
Brazilian media outlet Combate was the first to report the news.
Correia (9-1) was last seen suffering a violent knockout loss to former champion Ronda Rousey just a little more than 30-seconds into their UFC 190 title fight in August. This came after months of animosity between both women as prior to this setback Correia knocked out two of Rousey’s teammate in Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler. She will enter this bout with two career stoppage wins, both of which coming by way of knockout.
First-ever women’s flyweight title fight added to CFFC 55
The first-ever women’s flyweight title fight in organization history has been added to next month’s CFFC 55, as Katlyn Chookagian (5-0) will take on Isabelly Varella (7-0) for the inaugural belt.
Renzo Gracie/All Star BJJ product Chookagian is undefeated as a pro and is already a WSOF veteran along with holding a 2-0 record under the CFFC banner. She was also 7-0 as an amateur, including winning the NAAFS women’s title in 2013. The New Jersey native most recently competed on Halloween, when she defeated Sijara Eubanks via decision at CFFC 52.
