UFC 157 results / analysis - Rousey wins via R1 armbar (again), but not without adversity
ANAHEIM, Calif. – It was déjà vu all over again, just on a much bigger stage. In yet another dominant performance – though certainly with a very testy moment early – in a groundbreaking moment in sports history, Ronda Rousey did it again. The first UFC women's bantamweight champion stopped Liz Carmouche with – you guessed it – a first-round armbar in the first women's fight in UFC history. The women's bantamweight title bout was the main event of Saturday's UFC 157 event at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.

WSOF Interested in Jon Fitch
It didn't take long for Jon Fitch to gain the interest of other mixed martial arts promotions following his release from the UFC earlier this week. Ali Abdel-Aziz, the vice president and matchmaker for World Series of Fighting, confirms to Bleacher Report that they have begun preliminary discussions to potentially bring Fitch to the up-and-coming promotion in 2013. While no formal offer has been made, Abdel-Aziz says that they have talked to Fitch's management team since his release and are interested in the services of the former UFC welterweight contender.

UFC boss: We 'have to make' Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones
While the once-prevalent "superfight" talk has died down in recent weeks, UFC President Dana White still hungers for perhaps the biggest one of all: UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones vs. middleweight titleholder Anderson Silva. While in the Los Angeles area for this week's UFC 157 event, White joined UFC commentator Joe Rogan on his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience." During an extended chat about the organization, White reiterated his desire for a Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) vs. Jones (17-1 MMA, 11-1 UFC) bout. Although there are no immediate plans, White said as far as back as October that he "guarantees" the fight will happen at some point. "I have to make him and f---ing Jones happen," White said. I have to make that happen." "… What Anderson really talks about – he fucks with me a lot – but he wants big fights. He wants big fights."

Bjorn Rebney: We are not going to sign Jon Fitch
The UFC released Jon Fitch yesterday and the belief was that he could likely land in Bellator and speculation started that he could end up fighting in Bellator. However, Bellator MMA Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney told TheMMAReport.com that they will not be signing him. “I have a lot of respect for Jon [Fitch] and I have a lot of respect for anyone who has to courage to do what these guys do and the athletic ability to do what they do but we are not going to be signing Jon Fitch,” Rebney said prior to Bellator 90. Fitch is considered one of the top welterweight fighters in the world and had a UFC record of 14-3-1. However, he has gone 1-2-1 in his last four fights which led to the UFC deciding to part ways with him. Bellator’s welterweight division is one of the deepest divisions currently in Bellator and Rebney wants to continue the development of the fighters that are currently under contract with his organization.

The use was a violation. The Court concluded that Diaz understood that his use of marijuana should have been disclosed to the Commission and on its pre-fight questionnaire...
