The festivities took place at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. The same venue hosts Saturday’s FOX Sports 1-televised event.
Among those weighing in are recent featherweight title challengers Chad Mendes (145.5 pounds) and Ricardo Lamas (145.5), who meet in the main event. Both made the mark with ease.
Only co-headliner Jorge Masvidal failed to make weight. However, he weighed 156.5 pounds – just a half pound over the 156-pound limit – and was given two additional hours to cut the weight.
About 40 minutes after his first attempt, Masvidal returned to the stage in plastics and a sweatsuit. After drying off, he was 156 pounds and official for the co-main event.
