Mousasi requests Shlemenko be PED tested
(mixedmartialarts.com)
The UFC has arguably the best performance enhancing drug testing program in the world. Their rival Bellator MMA doesn’t. However, Bellator CEO Scott Coker is on record as being firmly against PEDs in MMA. “I want to make very clear that under new management, Bellator will simply not stand for performance enhancing drugs inside our cage,” he said after four fighters failed at Bellator 127. However, Coker is leaving PED testing up to local athletic commissions.

Thus far, Dern has gone 3-0 in her career but she’s struggled to get down to the strawweight limit, twice missing the 116-pound limit in her past two fights.

Cris Cyborg responds to ‘joke' Edmond Tarverdyan's comments, not interested in Ronda Rousey fight in UFC

Cris Cyborg doesn’t seem into the idea of facing Ronda Rousey anymore. The Brazilian star, who holds the UFC featherweight championship, has campaigned for years for a fight with “Rowdy" when she was at the top of the world as UFC bantamweight queen. Cyborg, who is currently training in Thailand and targeting a fight with Holly Holm at UFC 219, scheduled for Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, spoke with MMA Fighting about Tarverdyan’s comments and a possible clash with Rousey.

Incompetent NSAC judge given ‘small break’, may judge UFC 216
(mixedmartialarts.com)
Why after 24 years are there judges in MMA like Adalaide Byrd who couldn’t tell you how to escape a Guillotine? Add in her hugely controversial boxing score for Canelo Alvarez over GGG and Byrd’s presence becomes something worse than baffling. Jack de Menezes for the Independent reports that executive director of the Nevada Athletic State Commission Bob Bennett confirmed Byrd is currently subject to a “small break” in order to review her performance.

Kenny Florian believes Michael Bisping set a blueprint on how to beat Luke Rockhold
(https:)
On Saturday evening, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold overcame a rocky start to stop David Branch in the second round with strikes from the mount. It was Rockhold’s first fight since losing the middleweight title over a year ago when Michael Bisping knocked him out in the first round and early on, the former champion failed to impress. Despite being a heavy favorite, Rockhold was in trouble in the first round as Branch hurt him with punches several times, prompting some to speculate that Bisping solved Rockhold for the rest of the division. Chief among those concerned viewers is UFC analyst Kenny Florian who discussed Rockhold’s striking struggles on the most recent edition of his Anik and Florian podcast, saying that Bisping has “set a blueprint” on beating Rockhold that the former champion still hasn’t fixed.

Rematch between ex-UFC champ Jose Aldo and Ricardo Lamas targeted for December
(mmajunkie.com)
Jose Aldo has been clear about his desire to return to the octagon in 2017. Thanks to a familiar foe, it seems he’ll be able to get his wish. Brazil’s Combate.com says the ground has been prepared for a rematch between former 145-pound champion Aldo and contender Ricardo Lamas – who unsuccessfully challenged for the then-champ’s belt at UFC 169 in 2014. According to the report, both men have said yes to a meeting in December, but have yet to set a specific date. Aldo’s original plan was to fight at UFC 217, which takes place in New York City on Nov. 4. But, also according to the report, the promotion opted for the following month after Lamas asked for more time. This would entail one of two likelihoods: UFC 218, which takes place in Detroit on Dec. 2, or UFC 219, set for Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.

Michael Bisping says UFC 217 showdown against Georges St-Pierre ‘might be my last ever fight’
(https:)
Michael Bisping has accomplished a lot over the course of his 12-year run in the UFC. Whether it’s his TUF 3 triumph, or tying the UFC record for most overall wins, or the late-career resurgence that carried him to the middleweight title, Bisping has remained a fixture at the highest levels of the sport for longer than nearly all of his contemporaries from MMA’s boom period. So with his Nov. 4 showdown against Georges St-Pierre looming — a matchup that’s exactly the type of blockbuster moneymaker that always eluded him — Bisping believes there’s a chance UFC 217 could spell the perfect end to his career.
