Teammates agree to fight on eve of WSOF 21
A unique, last-minute fight has come together on the eve of World Series of Fighting 21.
Here's the deal: Middleweights Matt Baker and Marcus Hicks were scheduled to fight Friday night in a prelim bout on the card in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. However, on Thursday, Hicks was ruled out of the fight due to complications with his weight cut, according to WSOF officials. As a result, Thiago Goncalves, who was in Edmonton to corner Baker and has been sharing a room with him all week long, has agreed to fight his teammate on a day's notice, WSOF officials confirmed with MMAFighting.com.

UFC President Dana White took to FOX Sports 1's UFC Tonight on Wednesday to announce that UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will make the first defense of his title against Sweden's Alexander Gustafsson with a date and venue to be announced.
More good news arrived for Cormier's American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) teammate Luke Rockhold, as White revealed that the top middleweight contender will get the next shot at champion Chris Weidman, also with a date and venue to be announced.
