McCully misses Deadline for Kongo Fight?????
If true, this is very interesting to me as i saw this as a step down for Kongo anyways. Who y'all think they will have to replace McCully in this fight?
I know its wishful thinking but it seems like a good opportunity for the Ufc to get "The Pitbull" on the "supposed" CBS card!
Year-end MMA a Japanese tradition (story from Yahoo! Sports)
Unless you understand the Japanese fighting culture, the New Year’s Eve match-up that pits Fedor Emelianenko, the Yahoo! Sports No. 1 pound-for-pound mixed martial arts fighter in the world, against the 7-2 1/2, 355 pound “Techno Goliath,” Choi Hong-man of South Korea, would seem to make no sense.
But MMA fighting in Japan is part of a world of fantasy, where key promoters idolize World Wrestling Entertainment chief Vince McMahon and learn from Japanese pro wrestling organizations. Almost the only reality of MMA in Japan is what happens between the bell.
On no night is that more evident than New Year’s Eve, which has, over the past seven years, become a cultural tradition as the biggest fighting night of the year.

Just thought I'd throw these articles in the mix... They have a little bit of fighter interviews in there, but it's more just hype for the fight...
Got me a little fired up, so enjoy... Also nice to see that Fox sports has an entire section labeled MMA (and that's where they hide their boxing stuff too
Sorry if the stuff's already been posted, I don't usually post in the news forum

And yet another "Big" John McCarthy interview
This one is pretty extensive and touches on a lot of subjects so I thought I would post it too. Really good to hear that The Fight Network should be comming to combat sport fans in the States soon. I can't say enough about this channel.
Chris Howie of MMANews.com: This is Chris Howie with MMANews.com and today I am speaking with former UFC head referee and the newest addition to the Fight Network team, "Big" John McCarthy. How are you today John?
"Big" John McCarthy: I'm doing good. Just spending a few days here in Toronto.
MMANews.com: How are you liking the city?
"Big" John McCarthy: Well, they lied to me and said it never snowed here.
