(mmaweekly.com) Perhaps never in the history of mixed martial arts has someone’s nickname been so poignant when it is applied to an upcoming match-up as Rich Clementi’s when used as a backdrop for his upcoming fight with Melvin Guillard at UFC 79 this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Filming begins Jan. 29.
A source close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that a bout between former cast members Stephan Bonnar (11-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Matt Hamill (3-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has also been discussed as a possibility. The light-heavyweight clash could earn co-main event status if officially signed, we’re told.

The proposed match-up would see the pair of popular New England fighters meet in the main event for a UFC Fight Night tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 2.
A venue for the event has not been announced, though the Massachusetts natives would not have the pleasure of mixing it up in their home state. MMA remains unregulated in the Bay State.
Contracts have not yet been presented to “The Ultimate Fighter” alumni, though they are expected shortly.
