Michael Bisping Talks Preparation For Brian Stann, Being Disappointed In Jon Jones
Everyone knows he's a big, powerful, striker, and that's what I've got to look out for. I think, technically, I've got him beat. I'm better on the feet. I'm better on the ground. But, obviously, that one-punch knockout power is the thing I've got to look out for. I'm training with tough guys. I'm getting beat up on a daily basis, and I'm preparing. I'm doing everything I can. I'll be ready.

Sonnen pulling for Belfort over Jones at UFC 152, says own fight booking coming soon
PORTLAND, Ore. – Count Chael Sonnen among those surprised by Vitor Belfort's sudden light-heavyweight title shot. Hendo Denies Informing Chael Sonnen of Injury, Hopes for Year-End Return
Aug 27, 2012 - The cancellation of UFC 151 spawned a series of sub-plots, including the offer of Chael Sonnen to save the show by stepping in to fight Jon Jones in the main event, a gesture that had Sonnen come off as a hero. In the days that have passed since the announcement the show would be scrapped, Jones' side has lobbed allegations that Sonnen was in the know about Dan Henderson's injury, and was secretly training in preparation of replacing Henderson in the fight. On a Monday interview on The MMA Hour, Dan Henderson denied those claims. "Chael didn’t know anything about it," he said. "He had definitely not been training at all. My guys told me that Greg Jackson said in an interview that Chael was down training with me and getting ready for the fight and knew I was hurt. It was nothing like that at all.. He wasn’t even down here. I asked him if he wanted to come down and help me train a couple months ago, but he didn’t come down."

The Fighting Life: The Fire and the Darkness of Brian Foster
Any one who has followed this series regularly is used to being knee deep in a wordy introduction. The purpose is meant to build up anticipation and hopefully lay the groundwork for an emotional connection to the article which follows. My motive behind this is due to the fact I want these articles to give you more than you are used to reading. I want the readers to walk away from each installment, feeling a bit of what I felt not only writing, but obtaining the information. My passion in the sport of MMA is to highlight a portion of a fighter's journey and thus far I believe I've been somewhat successful in my ability to do so. I tell you these things because this installment is going to be much different. Typically in this sport, journalists are kept at a distance for good reason. Breaking news and the race for website clicks make this a competitive environment, but based on my niche only writing fighter features, I've walked somewhat of a different path than most of my peers. I'm far from being the only media member to develop friendships in this business, but where other writers have to remain objective, I dwell in a grey area. While the following details are personal, I felt it was long overdue and this story needed be shared...

Lauzon: I thought Gray and I could be a cool angle as coaches of TUF
Being proactive paid off for Joe Lauzon last week. The UFC lightweight contender signed on to fight Gray Maynard and says he was the one pushing for the tough match up. “I saw Gray say in an interview that he wanted to coach the next season of TUF against Nate Diaz,” Joe explains. “He’s banking on Diaz beating [Ben] Henderson [when the two face off for Henderson’s title] and wants that title shot and, I guess, a third fight between him and Nate. So I contacted [UFC matchmaker] Joe Silva and said that I thought Gray and I could be a cool angle as coaches of TUF. They didn’t do that but later I got a call asking if I wanted to fight Gray on December 29th. Its on the main card of a huge card.”
