TUF 20 Finale's Charles Oliveira promises no weight issues for Stephens
As much of a spin as anyone wants to put on it, there’s really no sugarcoating what happened to Charles Oliveira the last time he had a UFC fight booked. Oliveira badly missed weight for a fight against Nik Lentz at UFC Fight Night 50 in September. The struggle with the scale was owed to him being sick, and ultimately he wasn’t deemed well enough to fight the next night.

A fan favorite has been forced off next week’s card in Brazil. According to a report from Brazil’s Combate news site, Rony Jason (14-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) it out of his featherweight bout against Tom Niinimaki (21-7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 58. In Jason’s place will step promotional newcomer Renato Carneiro (8-0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC).

Stephens: Oliveira has a weak chin

Anderson Silva added another feat to his long list of accomplishments. The former UFC middleweight champion, and arguably the best mixed martial artist of all time, who returns to the Octagon on Jan. 31 against Nick Diaz after suffering a gruesome injury in 2013, was named the 27th-biggest Brazilian celebrity in 2014 by Forbes Brasil.
