Josh Koscheck injured, out of Bellator debut
Josh Koscheck's Bellator debut is going to have to wait.
The MMA star is injured and out of his main event fight with Matt Secor at Bellator 148 on Jan. 29 in Fresno, Calif., Bellator officials confirmed with MMA Fighting on Tuesday. The extent of the injury was not disclosed. Secor is not expected to be on the card.

Neil Magny attends seminar hosted by former opponent Demian Maia
For UFC welterweight Neil Magny, the roughly eight minutes he spent in the cage with Demian Maia at UFC 190 this past August was about as humbling an experience as a fighter could have.
He came into the fight riding a seven-fight winning streak, hadn’t lost in almost two years, and was feeling pretty confident about his chances against the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist.

WSOF President Ray Sefo Says He Turned Down Fedor Emelianenko Fight at Rizin
Fedor Emelianenko almost had a different opponent at Rizin Fighting Federation’s New Year’s Eve event.
World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo, who owns a 2-2 MMA record and has extensive professional kickboxing experience, says that he was offered the fight against the Russian a little more than a month before the card. However, Sefo turned it down, citing a lack of time to prepare for a bout against “The Last Emperor.”

Rockhold: I don't want to fight at UFC 199
UFC champ Luke Rockhold has the foresight to know that when a big fight or event is on the horizon, much of what surrounds it gets lost in the shuffle.
Rockhold (15-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) said that’s exactly what’s going to happen as July’s UFC 200 event draws near, which is why he wants his first middleweight title defense to take place on that mega-card, which airs July 9 on pay-per-view from the new Las Vegas Arena.
“I would say (I want to fight in) May, June or July, but UFC 200 would be cool,” Rockhold told MMAjunkie Radio. “I don’t want to be on UFC 199, I’ll tell you that. The hype for 200 will be so big it will take away from 199. Who wants to be on 199? I want to be on 198 or 200. That would be cool, even if I’m not main eventing.”

Tyron Woodley wants Robbie Lawler title fight, but ‘preparing myself to be heartbroken again’

Cirkunov Welcomes Nicholson to the Octagon at UFC 196
A Light Heavyweight match-up between Latvian import Misha Cirkunov and UFC newcomer Alex “The Spartan” Nicholson is set for UFC 196: Werdum vs. Velasquez 2 on February 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has not been confirmed as of yet where the bout will fall on the lineup however it will likely be part of the preliminary card. The UFC confirmed the bout today on their Facebook page.
Emanuel Newton-Linton Vassell rematch rounds out Bellator 149 main card
A light heavyweight rematch will round out the main card of Bellator 149.
Former Bellator light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton will meet Linton Vassell on Feb. 19 in Houston, MMAFighting.com has learned.
The bout will be a rematch of an encounter held at Bellator 130, in which then-champ Newton submitted Vassell in the fifth-round with a rear-naked choke.
Titan FC: Money for displaced fighters on Jan 15
Titan FC says it will be sending out checks to all fighters who were on the card for the Titan FC 36 event.
Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson said his promotion wants to make things right with fighters left out of work with the sudden cancelation of this past month’s Titan FC 36.
Aronson today told MMAjunkie Radio that he and Titan COO Lex McMahon will cut checks to help offset the losses stemming from the event, which was scrapped when Aronson suffered complications from a surgery.
Ronda Rousey named host of Jan. 23 edition of 'Saturday Night Live'
Those who predicted a loss in the Octagon would mean an end to Ronda Rousey's A-list outside gigs turned out to be wrong.
In her first major move since losing the UFC women's bantamweight title to Holly Holm in Australia on Nov. 15, Rousey will host NBC's Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, the network announced Tuesday.

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight Dustin Poirier and middleweight Kyle Noke could be sidelined for six months after both men suffered broken noses at last Saturday’s UFC 195.

UFC Champ Holly Holm signs multiyear contract extension
Unbeaten women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm this weekend inked a contract extension with the Ultimate Fighting Championship which will keep her with the promotion through 2016 and beyond.
ESPN.com reports that Holm signed her new deal Saturday in Las Vegas, where she attended UFC 195 to cheer on Jackson-Wink MMA teammate Carlos Condit.
Why Demian Maia won’t be grappling Nick Diaz at Metamoris
LAS VEGAS – Surging UFC welterweight contender Demian Maia said he was offered a grappling match with Nick Diaz and would have accepted it, but Diaz’s participation was suddenly taken off the table.
While in Las Vegas for this past weekend’s UFC 195 event, Maia (22-6 MMA, 16-6 UFC) said Ralek Gracie, who promotes the all-grappling Metamoris event, offered him a grappling match with the onetime welterweight title challenger at a future event.
