Demetrious Johnson undergoes successful shoulder surgery
Demetrious Johnson's road back to the Octagon has already begun.
The UFC flyweight champion told MMAFighting.com that he underwent successful right shoulder surgery at a Seattle hospital on Thursday.
"It went well," he wrote via text message. "They found three tears in the labrum and cleaned them up."

Thiago Silva-Rafael 'Feijao' Cavalcante Moved To UFC On FUEL TV 10
According to a report by the Brazilian news source Tatame, a planned bout between Thiago Silva and Rafael Cavalcante has been re-scheduled for June and UFC On FUEL TV 10. The event takes place from Brazil, and is expected to serve as the finale for The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2.
The bout was originally reported as being made for UFC 162: Silva Vs. Weidman, which goes down in July from Las Vegas.
Ex-Bellator Champ Zach Makovsky Signs with CFFC, Debuts May 11 Against Claudio Ledesma
Former Bellator bantamweight champion Zach Makovsky has signed a deal with the New Jersey-based Cage Fury Fighting Championships and will debut for the promotion on May 11 in a flyweight showdown with Claudio Ledesma.
Sherdog.com confirmed the news on Friday with Arias Garcia, CFFC general manager and matchmaker, who revealed that the May 11 show will also see Sean Santella defend his flyweight title against Dave Morgan. The winner of that bout will then put the strap on the line against the Makovsky-Ledesma victor on a later date. The event is expected to serve as CFFC 24 and takes place at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
“When the opportunity came to sign a former champion like Zach, it was a no-brainer. He brings excitement to an already stacked division. I think he will shine in his natural weight class of 125 pounds,” Garcia told Sherdog.com. “We are also excited to have Claudio back, as he plans on winning this fight and taking on our champion. It’s going to be a great fight and event.”
John Gunderson vs. Dan Lauzon added to World Series of Fighting 3
Lightweight John Gunderson's callout of Jacob Volkmann wasn't successful, but he did get another UFC vet for his promotional debut.
Gunderson (34-14-2) on Thursday told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that he is set to meet Dan Lauzon (16-4) at World Series of Fighting 3, which takes place June 14 in Las Vegas.
A venue for the event, whose main card airs live on NBC Sports Network, has yet to be confirmed.
'The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2' cast unveiled with 28 welterweights
