Michael Bisping Talks Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Coaching TUF 14
(bloodyelbow.com)
Michael Bisping thinks he can keep his cool around Jason "Mayhem" Miller. Seriously. At least, that's what he told Gareth Davies of The Daily Telegraph today in a wide-ranging interview. Besides talking about the coaching gig, he discussed how much he loves fighting in the UK, how much he hates downtime, and UFC 130. Bisping comes off a lot better here than he does in a lot of interviews, choosing to not demean or insult anyone and actually make light of the heat he seems to get from North American fans. On the TUF 14 coaching job: "I feel very privileged to get a second term as a TUF coach. It shows the UFC holds me in high regard. It’s great to be seen as a fighter and a personality within the sport. The only downside is that it puts me out of action until December, but it’s not like I’m going hungry," said the British fighter, who leaves the UK for Las Vegas this weekend to start filming on Monday. "All in all, it’s a fantastic situation I’m in."

UFC champ Jon Jones: I'm fighting Quinton "Rampage" Jackson next
(mmajunkie.com)
The hand injury that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson sustained this past Saturday at UFC 130 is serious – but perhaps not serious enough to stall his career. As light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) tells it, Jackson (32-8 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will get a shot at his belt. "I'll be fighting Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson next," Jones told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Thursday. "I'm not allowed to discuss the date because I didn't sign a contract, but yeah, it will be very soon."

Timing is everything. No one knows this better than Anthony Pettis. You know, that guy who ran up the cage and kicked Ben Henderson in the face at WEC 53 last December in the final fight of the final show in that promotion's history.

As TV Deal Winds Down, UFC Will Choose Between Spike or New Home
(mmafighting.com)
Wednesday night marked the season finale of the UFC's major programming vehicle, The Ultimate Fighter. It also marked the unofficial beginning of a countdown to the zero hour when the promotion will be faced with a major decision about the fate of its key show. Its current deal with longtime home Spike expires at the end of 2011, following the 14th season of TUF. According to most observers within the industry, selling the television rights package is the single most important priority for the UFC, and as of now, it remains open for negotiation, a showpiece with bidders circling but no deal yet reached. While the UFC and Spike remain the main players and talks between the two remain ongoing, the two sides aren't the only ones involved. In a drama that has played out over recent months and is expected to drag on into the near future in executive boardrooms, other suitors will continue to try to convince the UFC to abandon its longtime home.

LAS VEGAS – Every season of "The Ultimate Fighter" has a villain. After the season, that villain usually wants to let the world know that he's not really a villain, he just plays one – or is portrayed as one through editing – on TV. Tony Ferguson is the Season 13 villain, and on Thursday, two days ahead of his fight in the finale against Ramsey Nijem, he said he's looking forward to making amends for his actions late in the season, when he was shown commenting about housemate Charlie Rader's family situation, setting off this season's biggest house brouhaha.
