Silva defies clowning critics: 'Part of the show'
It took just days for Anderson Silva to change his mind. His legacy as a champion was not over. His immediate rejection of a rematch would not stick. He wanted a sequel with Chris Weidman, and there was no reason to wait.
So on Saturday, exactly one week after "the Spider" got caught in Weidman's web, the Brazilian legend signed a bout agreement for UFC 168 on Dec. 28. He is favored to win the rematch, at least according to oddsmakers, but most think he will need to fight more conservatively, to tone down his antics of bobbing, weaving and taunting. After all, it was in the immediate seconds after pretending he had been wobbled when Weidman stepped in and landed the game-changer.
But Silva? He doesn't want to hear any talk that he's gone too far...

UFC on FOX 8's Rory MacDonald: 'Sometimes, you just want to hurt someone'
It's impossible not to sense a sadistic streak in the 23-year-old Rory MacDonald (14-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) as he speaks about his upcoming fight with Jake Ellenberger (29-6 MMA, 8-2 UFC) at UFC on FOX 8.
MacDonald insists it's not personal when he said he sometimes feels the need to hurt someone badly in the cage. He said he won't know whether he'll try to do that to Ellenberger until the night of July 27, when they meet in the fight card's co-main event at KeyArena in Seattle.
Yet MacDonald said the last guy to talk trash to him – before Ellenberger decided to berate him on Twitter and in interviews – took more abuse than he might have taken had he elected to keep pre-fight interviews respectful...

Invicta FC 6 results: Cris 'Cyborg' claims featherweight belt with TKO win
Top women's featherweight fighter Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (12-1) added another belt to her trophy case, as she earned Invicta Fighting Championships' inaugural featherweight belt with a fourth-round stoppage of Marloes Coenen (21-6).
The bout served as the main event of Saturday's "Invicta FC 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen" event, which took place at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., and aired on pay-per-view.
As expected in the heavily anticipated rematch, Santos fired heavy right hands to open, but Coenen slipped underneath them and moved into the clinch. Santos eventually pulled free from the hold and looked to strike before Coenen brought her back into the position. Santos scored a toss from the hold and looked to unleash strikes, but a game Coenen defended well from her back and earned stand-up. Coenen tried to drag Santos to the floor late in the round, but "Cyborg" defended well and remained on her feet before scoring an impressive suplex late in the opening round...
Weidman vs. Silva rematch heads UFC 168 on Dec. 28, Rousey vs. Tate II co-main
UFC President Dana White promised the world that new UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman (10-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) and former kingpin Anderson Silva (33-5 MMA, 16-1 UFC) would meet again. Now it's official.
The UFC boss today revealed on ESPN's SportsCenter that both Weidman and Silva have agreed to meet on Dec. 28 in the headlining bout of a previously announced UFC 168 event, which takes place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. The night's main card, including the Weidman vs. Silva rematch, airs on pay-per-view. White further confirmed that bout agreements have already been signed.
White previously announced UFC 168 would see women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) face former Strikeforce title holder Miesha Tate (13-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the evening's main event. However, that fight between former Strikeforce champs and opposing "The Ultimate Fighter 18" coaches will instead serve as the co-main event of what starts out as a star-studded affair.

Cris Cyborg Talks Invicta FC, Coenen, UFC and Rousey
PDG: With the PED situation behind you, what was the biggest lesson you learned from that experience?
Cyborg Santos: Don’t trust anyone! And I have to control my weight. Cutting to 145 is always a battle, I made a mistake and now it is behind me and it is time to move on.
PDG: You’ve had words with Ronda Rousey in the past. What do you think of the animosity between the two of you now? Is it all for the cameras or is it genuine? Cyborg Santos: It is all genuine, I want to knock her out.
PDG: Despite the war of words, what do you think of Rousey as a fighter?
Cyborg Santos: She is a one trick pony and she ran from me to 135. I have nothing else to say.
