Kimbo Slice: People judged me before they even got to know me
"It’s just like when you were a kid with your parents, depending on what type of parents you had, but definitely your teachers, they kinda teach you to never judge a book by its cover. I guess I was the complete opposite of everyone’s impression of me. They kinda judged me before they even got to know me, but I didn’t go into the house trying to portray someone that I’m not. What you see is what you get, camera on or camera off, I’m a real dude. My kids know that about me, my friends know that about me, and putting me in that house and after putting the cameras on us 24 hours a day, now the fans are able to know that about me. I’m a real guy. The same guy you see in the street, that’s the guy you saw in the house. And that’s one of the things that people are able to relate to. I’m not phony." Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (3-1), who will make his first official appearance inside the Octagon at Saturday's Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 Finale against Houston Alexander, talks about the battle to overcome the public's perception of him as he entered the TUF house to compete with 15 other contestants for a shot at UFC stardom.
Matt Mitrione plans on showing Marcus Jones 'The Darkness' on Dec. 5
"My focus has been on submission and takedown defense, not lunging into my straight left and keeping the tempo of the fight in mind. Knowing the tempo makes me very dangerous. I train to be (a) champion. I made plenty of mistakes and have made strides from my last fight. I'm looking forward to making things happen on Saturday. It'll be an emotion-filled fight. He's going to close the distance on me and I'm going to punch him really hard in the face when he tries." Former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle, Matt Mitrione, plans on giving Marcus "Big Baby" Jones something to cry about when they meet at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 Finale this Saturday (Dec. 5) live from "The Pearl" at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
From underdog to silent intimidator, Amir Sadollah still searching for respect
UFC welterweight Amir Sadollah (2-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is used to being the underdog. In fact, even as Sadollah entered his UFC 106 contest with Phil Baroni, "The Ultimate Fighter 7" winner was being doubted by many MMA observers. "I was happy with my performance but not over-pleased," Sadollah said. "I'm definitely a perfectionist. There were things I did well and things I want to improve on.
After WEC 44 win, featherweight Cub Swanson wants second crack at Jose Aldo
After defeating John Franchi at November's WEC 44 event, Cub Swanson (14-3 MMA, 4-2 WEC) has a simple message for new featherweight champ Jose Aldo. In their previous engagement this past June, Aldo knocked out Swanson with a brutal flying knee followed by punches that were hardly necessary. The entire fight lasted just eight seconds. "He's a tough dude," Swanson admitted.
Are Mixed Martial Arts Dangerous?
There has been a lot of bad press surrounding MMA fights and the UFC. Many critics say that mixed martial arts are barbaric and gruesome and are nothing more than amateur street brawls. The beginning of the MMA movement in America and the inception of the UFC did not help matters at firs as they promoted the sport as the most violent combat sport available and only helped to further the negative serotype. Originally, MMA fights were banned in many states but after stricter rules were put in place and new UFC owners worked to change the barbaric stereotype, the MMA movement has gained huge popularity.

Rashad Evans credits "The Ultimate Fighter 10" coaching success to Team Jackson
Evans knew there was no better way to endorse Team Jackson than to share the team's philosophies. "I didn't want to be the best coach ever," Evans said. "It wasn't about me showing off. It's about showing what a camp has to offer. ... Greg Jackson encourages us to go out there and learn and bring it back to the team. That's one of the things that makes us such a great team. "If you stay in one place too long, it can get stale. ... I kept that in mind on the show."
Kimbo Slice Struggling with First Weight Cut
Kimbo Slice, 35, says he was in middle school the last time he was at 215 pounds. Slice, also known as Kevin Ferguson, is the only contestant in “The Ultimate Fighter” season 10 cast that was required to drop weight for the show’s finale, slated for this Saturday in Las Vegas. He fights fellow brawler Houston Alexander at a catchweight of 215 pounds. Alexander normally competes at light heavyweight. Slice usually fights at around 235 pounds. It’s the first time he’s had to cut weight in his two-plus years as an MMA fighter – and he’s not liking it. “Not good,” the generously bearded heavyweight said of his first weigh cut. “Not good. Moody… you just don’t feel the same. It’s mental, but it’s not a good feeling, to be honest with you.”

TUF 10: Final episodes recap
Dana White called it a "great season." Do you agree? Well, ever since Kimbo got marshmallowed out of the competition by Roy Nelson in episode three, all we've heard from the former YouTube star was how badly he wanted a second chance at TUF stardom. He would Hulk-up and blow steam from his nose like an angry bull whenever a fellow fighter fell ill. Then White presents it as a real possibility.....
