Evolved and Educated, Marloes Coenen Ready for Cris Cyborg Rematch at Invicta FC 6
While it’s been seven months since her last fight, former Strikeforce women’s 145-pound champion Marloes “Rumina” Coenen is not worried about the layoff.
“My entire career has been time off over and over again. It was always hard for me to get fights, so for me it’s no problem,” Coenen told MMAWeekly.com.
“I’ve been setting up my own gym in Amsterdam and then training in the East Netherlands. In preparation for this fight, I stayed with my parents for weeks so I could be focused and train a lot with my time.”

Four surgeries later and Thiago Alves is again on the mend.
Alves was scheduled to fight Matt Brown at UFC on Fox Sports 1 in Boston on Aug. 17, but a biceps injury forced him off the card and into the operating room… again.
Alves underwent the surgery on Thursday and sounded in good spirits afterwards.
“That’s surgery 4 in a year,” he tweeted. “You can call me the bionic Pitbull! Now the recovery starts!”
UFC Brings The Ultimate Fighter to China in November as well as Live Events Starting in 2014
The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced on Thursday a new, multi-year partnership which will bring regular live UFC events to Asia, as well as a Chinese version of the UFC’s hit reality series The Ultimate Fighter.

Cung Le said he's waiting to hear whether his next career move involves fighting or coaching. At the moment, he doesn't know which one it will be.
Le (9-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who his past November knocked out ex-champ Rich Franklin, said he still wants to fight Michael Bisping. And until recently, he was under the impression he would do so.

Josh Thomson And Anthony Pettis Bicker On Twitter
Things are starting to get heated between Josh Thomson and Anthony Pettis.
Thomson tweeted that he was hoping to get a fight against Pettis after speaking with UFC President Dana White, the two then agreed to fight via Twitter. Pettis would go on state in an interview with MMAFighting that he would fight Thomson “even though no one knows who he is.”
Seems as though Thomson took offence.

Nick Diaz is settled up with the Nevada State Athletic Commission but still owes California following his first venture as an MMA promoter.

The heavyweight fight, which was scheduled to take place July 27 at UFC on FOX 8, has been pulled from the card after Mitrione suffered an injury in training, according to sources close to the fight. The same sources indicated that the UFC was leaning towards re-booking the fight on a later card, and as a result, they decided to pull Schaub from the event in Seattle altogether.
