Joe Lauzon meets Michael Johnson at UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in Boston
The UFC's return to Boston continues to come together with the addition of a lightweight bout featuring one of the area's own.
Joe Lauzon (22-8 MMA, 9-5 UFC), a native of Boston's south suburbs, will head just up the road to fight Michael Johnson (12-8 MMA, 4-4 UFC) at UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in August. Lauzon wanted a fight on his hometown show, and he'll get it.
Sources with knowledge of the bout recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) of the planned fight, which MMA Weekly also reported Monday.

The UFC returns to Indianapolis for the first time since 2010 for the promotion's second-ever Wednesday night event on FOX Sports 1.
UFC and Bankers Life Fieldhouse officials on Saturday night announced the promotions plans to return to the venue, with tickets scheduled to go on sale June 14. Ticket prices and on-sale details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Leonard Garcia's team bashes Bellator, questions claim of 'phantom' rep
Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney claims his promotion never once contacted Leonard Garcia (15-11-1) about a potential deal with the tournament-based promotion. Garcia's team isn't buying it.
"In light of Bellator's alleged legal chicanery with their own champions like Eddie Alvarez and Zach Makovsky, and high-profile fighters like Leonard Garcia making known their desire to avoid a potentially bad situation, it is not surprising Bellator is trying to get ahead of the bad PR plaguing their promotion," Garcia's reps at Haymaker's Empire Sports Management wrote in a statement issued to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "However, this story about a 'phantom' Bellator representative making phony offers to fighters just strains credulity."
