Dong Hyun Kim (no, not that Dong Hyun Kim) is a late addition to next week’s UFC Fight Night 79 lineup.
Not to be confused by the UFC welterweight of the same name who, coincidentally, also is scheduled for UFC Fight Night 79, ”Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim (13-6-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has replaced injured Hyun Gyu Lim (13-5-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and now meets fellow 170-pounder Dominique Steele (13-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the event, officials today announced.
Brian Foster lost his first tournament match, but that didn't stop him from becoming the WSOF lightweight tournament champion.
During his first fight, Foster (25-8) faced Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Joao Zeferino. Foster quickly took the fight to the mat, where he scrambled with his opponent Zeferino just to land in the 50/50 position. There, the Brazilian submitted Foster with a vicious heel-hook. And in just one minute and 47 seconds, Foster was out of the tournament.

What do we know about the financial health of the UFC? We know the company has seen its revenues rise steadily over the years, from $4.6 million in 2001, the first year under Zuffa, LLC's management, to $522 million last year. At the same time, we have seen the company's long-term debts also rise, from zero bank debt in those early years to its current $535 million debt load. Neither debt nor revenue tells us much though about its current financial condition. Are they profitable, and if so how profitable? Are they solvent and able to meet their obligations? Without more data, revenue and debt do little to answer these questions.
All are very interesting and well worth the read.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a lot of things. One thing he hasn’t been known for is his generosity. But people change, apparently, and now Floyd sounds like he’s on Team Ronda Rousey, despite the two jabbing at each other in the media for the past couple years. Seems legit.
