CFFC 56 – Two former champions, Sean Santella and Artur Rofi will return to the company in an attempt to reclaim what was once theirs
Two Former CFFC Champions – Santella and Rofi Return in 2016! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Next year is scheduled to be a banner year for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC), but to look in towards the future one might want to visit the past. Two former champions, Sean Santella and Artur Rofi will return to the company in an attempt to reclaim what was once theirs. Both will see action on February 27, 2016 when CFFC returns to the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2012 to 2013, Sean Santella (14-5-1) was the king of the flyweights in the northeast. He captured the inaugural CFFC flyweight crown in February 2012 and reeled off of four straight victories. After an injury, Santella returned in 2014 and lost his crown to Nick Honstein. After leaving CFFC, Santella is 1-1-1 coming off a submission victory in his last fight over Jay Pressley (5-2) and his eager to make his CFFC return. “Feels great to be back,” exclaimed Santella. “CFFC has some of the best flyweights around and that’s who I want to fight. I’m getting that belt back!”

King Mo open to Fedor fight: ‘Anything is possible’
Despite the fact that Rizin Fighting Federation Day 2 was basically the Fedor show, the Russian heavyweight legend was not the last fighter to score a knockout win on the card. Shortly following Fedor's three-minute victory against Singh, Muhammed Lawal took part in his second fight of the night, and third in three days. Lawal lived up to his status as the tournament favorite and eventually knocked out fellow finalist Jiri Prochazka to claim the Rizin 100kg World Grand Prix championship.

Bigfoot wants to fight for 'four more years'
Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva is not ready to call it quits just yet. Despite going 1-2 in 2015, the 36-year old told Globo Esporte that he learned a lot from his losses to Andrei Arlovksi and Mark Hunt and will use them to come back stronger in 2016. "I learned a lot. I fought three times, I won once and lost twice. It's not when you win that you change the way you think. I learned a lot from those two losses. Thinking only professionally, it wasn't good. But I will address those mistakes and start 2016 strong. I have faith in God and will make good fights. I need to change some aspects of my training, I need to talk to some coaches and start this year with the right foot."

UFC's Michael Chiesa, Rose Namajunas: 'Take marijuana off the banned list'
LAS VEGAS – Count Michael Chiesa and Rose Namajunas among the many backers for continued reform in the war against marijuana. Marijuana’s acceptance is constantly growing with more and more states legalizing its usage in one form or another. But in the MMA world, it remains a sticky topic. Chiesa has a solution, though, especially on the heels of Nick Diaz’s recent five-year suspension for failing a test for pot for a third time in Nevada.

"Thug Rose" was asked by a young girl at a Friday fan Q & A session at the MGM Grand Convention Center which fighters inspire her. And she picked a pair of the sport's icons: Brock Lesnar and Conor McGregor.

Bisping: Silva looked 'very beatable' vs. Diaz
Michael Bisping recently appeared on a media conference call to promote his fight with former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at a UFC Fight Night in London on Feb. 27 “For me obviously Anderson [is] a legend of the sport," said Bisping, as transcribed by Tristen Critchfield for Sherdog. "He was a longtime middleweight champion and this is a guy that I wanted to fight for a long time. Of course I wanted to fight him when he was the champion. But this is the biggest fight outside of a world title fight right now. Anderson is still a massive name; he’s still a huge draw. I have a lot of respect for him as a fighter. I always wanted to test myself against him; I knew I could beat him. I’m very excited about this fight.”.
