Matt Veach Off UFC 102, Marcus Aurelio Returns As Replacement
Matt Veach is now off UFC 102 due to a back injury. Apparently it was an injury he suffered back as a collegiate wrestler and re-aggravated it recently. He was to have faced Evan Dunham. Marcus Aurelio, who was cut after 2 losses in a row left him at 2-3 in UFC, will return to the promotion as the replacement. Aurelio has gone 2-0 since leaving UFC.
Dana White still uncertain whether Chuck Liddell's retirement is permanent
Is Chuck Liddell really retired?
It seems the man who first announced the former champion's career conclusion isn't even sure these days.
After a knockout loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97 in April, UFC president Dana White announced in a post-fight press conference that Liddell had entered the octagon for the final time. Now, though, he hasn't completely shut the door on hios longtime friend and former manager fighting once more.
"He's a huge superstar, and we could still sell lots of tickets (with Liddell)," White said in April. "But I don't care about that. I care about him. I care about his health, and it's over, man. It's over."
Strikeforce To Stream Saturday's Event Online
Strikeforce has announced that in addition to airing live on Showtime Saturday, they will stream the event live online. The online stream, available for pre-order starting Wednesday for $24.95, will feature the live Showtime broadcast and replays through August 20, live audio and color commentary and the exclusive "CageCam". The stream will be available in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan and Brazil.
UFC 101 Medical Suspensions
The PSAC today handed out the medical suspensions from UFC 101. 6 fighters in all were suspended, generally they were for 30 days although Tamdan McCrory & Kenny Florian got 45 days and will need medical clearance before fighting again.

Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson rebooked, moved and official for UFC 102
A middleweight bout between Ed Herman and Aaron Simpson takes place at the Aug. 29 UFC 102 event at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.
Herman and Simpson, slated to meet at UFC Fight Night 19 before a series of opponent switches briefly had them committed to other fights, now meet on the preliminary card of UFC 102.
The UFC today officially announced the fight.
Tim Sylvia vs. Jason Riley to headline September 18 Adrenaline event
A heavyweight match-up between Tim Sylvia and Jason Riley has been booked for an Adrenaline event scheduled to take place on September 18.
The news of the bout comes courtesy of Jason Riley himself, who confirmed the fight on his Myspace account, stating, “I will be fighting Tim Sylvia on September 18. It will be the main event for Adrenaline. It will be aired on HDNET Fights. Over 11 million people will be watching. If interested in sponsoring me please contact me on Myspace with all your contact info and I will have my manager get a hold of you. Thanks again for everyones support.”

The changes for the UFC Fight Night 19 card in Oklahoma City continue to roll in as MMAWeekly.com has confirmed with sources close to the fight that Dan Miller is now set to square off against C.B. Dollaway in a middleweight match-up.
Originally, Dan Miller was stepping in as a replacement for Ed Herman to face Arizona Combat Sports fighter Aaron Simpson. Herman had been tabbed to face Wilson Gouveia at UFC 102 in Portland.

Strikeforce CEO confirms Diaz vs. Hieron bout in jeopardy, resolution may come today
Previous reports that Nick Diaz missed a scheduled pre-fight drug screen with the California State Athletic Commission on Friday were today confirmed by Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker.
The executive confirmed the report on today's media call promoting the Aug. 15 event, "Carano vs. Cyborg," and Coker also said Diaz is currently in the process of submitting a sample to the CSAC.
Coker said he expects word from the commission on Thursday as to whether Diaz will be cleared to face Jay Hieron for Strikeforce's vacant welterweight title at the Showtime-broadcast event – though if the welterweight fails to show the bout could be scrapped today.
